Perhaps a more reasonable approach would be to allow a player to "buy" levels (like capital ships currently can do) on subsequently built Titans. That way it's not exactly a "give me". With their cost and build time, I don't believe any would be back in the fight too quickly.
no that would make the titan OP
Quoting boshimi336, reply 22 Quoting wbino, reply 18I still don't understand why a Titan would retain it's xp and level....... It goes against everything else in game mechanics. It is because if your titan got destroyed, and it reset the XP and Level, it would not stand a chance against the other titan. Not saying I like the whole mechanic but I believe it was setup that way to allow a player
u have to board the ship like right before its destroyed to get it
if we all want another great sins game, which i assume we all do then the game cants be rushed and it will be done when its done
once the beta is done hopefully they will open rebellion up to like impulse and whatever else lol
Nope, sorry. No other options will be made available.
u sure? i know they said the beta is only on steam but i dont remember them saying that the final release was just for steam
its probably not in weapons range its a known issue u need to move it in closer
that sucks looks like im not going to turn my game off of a while lol
Having only caps is a terrible strategy. Until they get a Titan with them (which takes the AI ages), you can literally roll them with any fleet you want for the first 10 hours of the game.
its not just caps have carriers and repair cruisers as well. what level ai r u playing against? cuz it does not take the ai 10 hrs to build a titan. i play against cruel and vicious ai and it takes like 30 to an hr for them to have titans out
I never rly had this problem with the AI it has always attack me with large numbers Kodiaks carriers and cap and now and again their own titan. and using just caps with the titan is not a bad strategy i do it all the time plus i back them up with carriers
idk what ai ur playing but the one i play against normally has a large fleet lol
@Matrox1 The vanilla upgrade would apply to both races if it wasn't a faction specific upgrade.
oh ok lol
there is no vanilla races just the loyalists and rebels i think it would be cool to add the super weapons upgrades but idk how it would work balance wise since i have never use super weapons till rebellion
the point of having the races split up in each beta is to balance to game with each other and find race specific bugs then to bring them all together and balance them together and can we plz stop with these useless and pointless threads
I am (and was) very well aware that some parts within the factions are in alpha stage. However, I'm impatient and I read that some people here on the forums have managed to mod the game to play all races. If they did it and their game is "stable", it would have been fun, if well, we'd had the same thing.
it does not matter if ur impatient the game cant be rushed just cuz u and other r impatient and want everything
no that would be harder to balance everything out that way. needs to be one at a time then all together
Loyalist Vassari titan all have a good chunk of their DPS locked up in weapons that recive no benefit from any weapon upgrade
if u look at the vasari loyalist titan u will c that it has tec weapons atm lol
thats my point THE AI KILLED THE TITAN and everyone keeps saying a human player is so much better than the ai so if the ai can do it im sure a human can easily do it
to be honest i dont c a issue with the titans except maybe they lvl a bit fast buts thats it. They r not OP or anything in fact i watch my AI ally rip through a lvl 1 titan with like 15 hc and a cap or two and that was within in the first 30-40 mins so yes titan can be kill by just fleet. In a online game being feed someone probably could have that in 15-20 mins if not sooner. If any major chance to the titans i think it should be GoaFan77 idea he posted up like a week or so ago.
XP is based on what ship is destroyed so increasing the Titans XP requirements will slow how fast the titan lvls. and ur missing the point of the Titans they r supposed to be these giant war machines that waste almost everything in there path. The devs even said that in a interview GameSpy: What would be the best way to take down a Titan? Brian Clair: Well, if it's a low-lev
they r not rly that OP HCs can take them down the main issue with titan is that they lvl to fast so just increase the exp requirement and it should even it out better
5. of course it will turn and attack with its broadside look at it. it has to giant walls on its side lol the beam weapons arc range probably should be increased
AI does not focus fire down support ships but seems to get overly concerned with your Capital ships which are hardy when being healed.
that is not really a problem most ppl will focus on caps first
I got the opposite, my locked team ally decided I was an enemy and sent me threatening messages every time they warped to my planets...They also broke all of our pacts
if u dont send envoys to there planets and dont do the missions they give u to do u will lose ur relationship with them and they will cut the pacts on u
ur ally ai might have pact with the enemy lol i have notice it does that some times
