I have found Google useful over the years and sometimes those search result links are better than bookmarks.
Why do you need to chose one over the other? I have both because my home page is set to google .ca, whatever I type in the search box it remembers until I delete my search history. I also find it convienient to have my most visited sites in my bookmarks bar.

I am giving Firefox a try, I have it set up the way I like but I had to exluded windowblinds from skinning it because my tabs were not closing, it works fine if excluded.
Mine is showing 17 apps open where yours is showing 8, but your using more memory than I am. If I open Chrome on my laptop the fans begin to spool up doesn't do it with IE.
425mb of memory is nothing when you have 16gb installed and that is not much for today's computers, there are people here with over 32gb of memory. If you are using an old computer with not much memory it might be a problem.
Chrome is a resource hog even when you shut it down it still runs in the background just open your task manager. People complain about bloat ware on their computer and still use Chrome. I use Edge and IE (and yes I have Chrome installed as a backup). I never understood why people use so many browsers on their computer when they all do the same thing. [e digicons]o_O[/e]
Maybe on your computer, not

I was using Brave which is built on the chrome engine but is suppose to be more secure, I say was because after I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10, Brave does not seem to want to load web pages. I was using the most current build and even tried the beta but no luck, Chrome works but not Brave. I might go with Firefox or Opera but I do like that Chrome remembers your favorite sites, whatever computer I install it on I have my favorites in my favorites bar after signing in.

A nice alternative is xWidget. xWidget has tons of weather apps and there is even one that someone made that looks and functions the same as the weather docklet for objectdock and uses the accuweather feed. https://www.deviantart.com/jimking/art/Weather-Docklet-for-xwidget-796826837 <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/39/20/3920650/c5f94b8b-8385-4ba1-9c1f-28071886c6a7.jpg" alt="" width="1245" h
[e digicons][/e] I never know what to tell anybody about hard drives, and I never know what to believe from the purchaser reviews. My old WDs have been good to me though.
I don't know what are the most reliable but it seems like if you want something more quiet the WD drives are better than Seagate.
Yes America. The one's I pointed out said free shipping, I don't know how that works in Canada. I'm guessing there's an import tax.
Yes, duty and shipping with the exchange on the currency would bring it to more than I can buy it here. I am a Amazon prime member so I get free shipping.
I had a WD MyBook network hard drive enclosure and I put 2 WD Reds in it. It was great. I still use the 2 reds in my computer. They have held up nicely. I have lost a good bit more Seagates than WDs. I say avoid seagate.
That is good to know.

"If you went with a NAS drive (WD Red) I'm not sure what the performance or other issues might be but, I would think you would want direct ethernet 1 gb connection for it or it would be as slow as downloading/uploading speeds over wi-fi." That would not be an issue as I have a fast ethernet connection. I was thinking about the red because I watched a youtube video that showed it being used in a home computer, also the red is a lot cheaper than the black. <br

I am looking at purchasing a large capacity hard drive, something 4gb or larger so a ssd is out. Does anyone use a server hard drive for their home computer, something that is meant to run 24/7 like the WD Red? Do these type of drives actually last longer than regular dives such as a WD Blue or a Seagate Baracuda? I was also considering the Seagate Firecuda for its speed but I would prefer longevity over something fast. so what do you normally buy for hard drives. <

I'm pretty much a loner any way so I don't mind. Always been treated well here I must say, I'm just not part of the In Crowd. Yup, I just uploaded a sysmetrix skin and it was gone from the front page in about a half hour, that is fine because its only a clock and not many people use sysmetrix now but it does go to show how long some new uploads are being seen. Personally I get tired of seeing new submissions that mostly consist of Dreams and I find myself visiting the site a lot less, again no big deal for most people because I am not popular here however there may be some members that are popular who are hangi
