"It amazed me that it has been almost 10 yrs, people still do not know to backup files or save file at somewhere instead of blaming software company for lost of their files, etc.," So what is the problem with the software company providing a copy to its paying customer if for some reason they did lose the files? Hard drives die, cd's can get lost during a move, I even had files backed up on the cloud with adrive and that company had some sort of a crash a few years back and I and mos

Mycolors were great, don't know why they just can't be used with theme manager? it should not be that difficult to convert them. or at least allow people to extract the window blind and icon packager theme, most if not all would still work.

I am 53 and the older I get the more difficult it becomes to learn new computer skils. I tend to want to stay with what I know but a little frustration takes the bordom away.
I purchased the ultimate version. It takes a litle getting use too because things are in different places and sometimes named differently than the way Windows does things, I was able to get my sound card to work, it was just something simple.

Looks very interesting. I've got my old PC laying around doing nothing. I need to get everything off of it and then I may install Zorin on it. What problems have you encountered so far Ken? Did you go with the free version or the paid? Inquiring minds want to know!
Jim is correct, I went with the free version, I wanted to try it first before I bought it. Besides a lack of themes, I am not sure what other restrictions there are. I like
"I wish that was WB." It is very usable and you are able to change themes (only a few with my version), I even like the light colored themes.
I installed Zorin-OS on one of my external hard drives and Ilike it quite a lot. I still need some more learning but I think it is a good OS.
Havana again but this time with some Nexus love added.
Good-oh Havana.
Just drop it already
Why? if the thread is kept civil and people can learn something from it then why drop it? I guess that is not up to me though and there are mods here that can decide that.
I went back over this and I feel that the op might have been misunderstood, I don't believe his intentions was to take someones skin and make subtle changes and reupload it as his own, perhaps a better explanation of intent would have prevented hard feelings. I am not going to get into the attidude thing but to say that we all can have an attidude at times when we are misunderstood and attacked, at least I can so perhaps I should only speak for myself. Cooler heads need to prefail here
Perhaps a little tact can go a long way but people often respond accordingly to the spirit or what is being said more than the actual words that are typed or spoken. Sometimes the dos and don'ts of skinning can be confusing, correct me if I am wrong but I always understood that open source applied more to the program, not peoples skins of an open source program. For example, you can take rainmeter and modify it but you cannot take someones rainmeter skin and change a few things and then
Anyway, I don't want to work with such morons. Bye!
That is not a problem because with your attitude no one will want to work with you either. You come across as a know-it-all who thinks he is better than anyone else and that is unfortunate but not surprising, the world is full of know-it-alls that do not want to listen to people who really know what they are talking about.
