It Think the NOOB = cakewalk win and boring statement is true. If you're playing someone who cannot play any better than AI...well you may as well play single player and that's for learners.... SO I have a easy and simple solution for NOOBS to play PRO's. The developers seem to have given up completely on this game anyway so this is prolly a pointless idea: Firstly, allow a game option "practice skirmish" you can tick this option and the game counts nothing on your stat
no, I'm making 2 different points. The "ITS JUST A GAME" argument is also shot down in general by people who play games for a living. Also, just on that point, there is money to be made playing demigod (albeit not very much), so saying there isn't any at all is also wrong. Both sides don't have their points, and your definition for wasting time doesn't really fit.
Yes I agree the alt-tabbing was a pain - I'm suggesting a Stat-less version for those who want it. So there is NO game info/history/ladder online either. In time you would find the stat mongers coming to join stat-free games just so they can play... And for those same stat minded people, if they are worried about losing a game and don't want the loss stats to count - they could add a game option "skirmish - no stats" mode. Imagine people not raging because their win streak is at stake
It's funny how much people care about win or lose in this game. I've never played an RTS before where people get so intensely RAGEY when the tide of the game goes against them.... I win about half of the games I've played and just as happy to lose. I cannot believe the filth that comes out of people's mouths when they are not winning. Also the few games that get hosted there's a majority of people saying no noobs - how you ever gonna encourage new players heh? It's gonn
If Stardock made an official tournament and offered a free copy of demigod to each player of winning team to give to people they know, maybe that could be kindling enough to bring the tiny spark of life in the game to a little light...and then one day a community could be reborn. Or perhaps offer a trial subscription for the FULL version say a 1 month trial for $3 or something pocket change enough to entice..... Then you could say "rent to buy" - pay 1 month at a time u
Add an game option for extra item slots, favor items and consumable slots. For example each demigod can have 15 armor/gloves/helm etc, 2 favor items and 6 consumables. And how about allowing max level as a game option: for example level 30 allowing upgrading more skills trees in endgame.
Make the game free as a bonus for everyone who purchases another stardock or GPG game.....
I agree... I try to play again, seems 2v2 games work ok most of the time...it's just there's no one to play...sigh
oh, and they got sharks with freakin lazer beams on their heads too....
Haven't you seen T3? The supercomputers are a whole lot of commodore64's linked together ready to defend the earth in a fallout shelter somewhere below the desert.
Hi kids! Yeah me too.... though I doubt I'll play supcom as I've never played that style of rts before.... Actually until another RTS like Company of Heroes comes out I doubt I'll play games anymore....... Demigod has made me hate gaming.
Sorry, the numbers are wrong. AT THIS MOMENT there's 97 people playing demigod online. Don't believe me? check the server stats and count them... you can do that easily, there's only 20 games in progress and 3 games in lobby. Last time I looked during the week in the afternoon Australian time, there is about um....10 peope playing. I waited many months for the game to be fixed, got sick of it, then came back months later to see any improvements, and foun
You'd stick your head in a waste container of nuclear waste that was 30 years old! Idiot. If it has gone through 5 half lives as you claim, you do realise that does not mean it is gone. That's the nature of radioactive material. A half life is the time it takes for it to decompose to half it's amount. SO the radioactive waste would HALVE in one half life, halve again in 2, halve again in three and so on. So if you start with 100kg of nuclear waste, go through 5
If Frogboy says its too expensive, then the best we can do is make suggestions that might not be all that costly...
Ah, it seems that DG has pretty much been abandoned by developers/SD/GPG-whoever, ANY suggestion will be too costly I bet, so far we've seen all suggestions pretty much ingnored anyway.
That died, IMO, when "premades" all became jerks.
I think having a competitive game died since all but the die hardest of fans stopped playing.... I don't play anymore, still waiting for the patches and fixes before I even try.
You should only try to have AT LEAST the control of 2 flags (3 would be better of course) while defending your towers and farming. You must only attack ennemy tower if there are no ennemy DG around.
I love to shoot a fireball while near enemy tower as TB. It's especially funny when you've got 850 damage fireball and use it AFTER oak has stunned/interrupt, but aim it AT THE TOWER, then laugh while oak wastes a shield because he thinks you aim at him.... Ne
another option, buy tower upgrades for firepower early. It's natural we get tower health, but tower damageII I find gives a nasty sting and will give you a better defense when 2v3 near your towers.

My point about deaths caused by nukes/fallout is how harmful it is. I'm certainly not one to debate how many lives can be saved by a war or a bomb of any kind; Let's say there's another world war, do you think this time a surrender would come from a nuke drop? Of course not. Retaliation bombing would be the result. And as for man's will to cause harm to one another, it IS related. Why? Because when man choses to do harm to another it results (wars, terrrorism) in the fighting parrties
I had ready to play... uninstalled it LOL...I can look on server stats and see the some 8-10 games up anyway,
I'm Pro nuclear energy. It's basicly the most clean/effective energy source we have atm and nuclear reactors are really secure nowadays. And if something goes wrong fallout is in a certain degree controlable too we can affect airstreams and rainfall thus we can affect what areas get affected badly by fallout. If you are concerned about your ecological footprint nuclear is the most logical way to go except for the cooling water changing local water f
Grass? Sunflowers? Sugarcane? 6% of land - is that 6% of total land area (including useless land like desert and cities) or is it 6% of farmable land? IMHO you can't unbreak an egg. Nuclear has been invented, the world is doomed.
