My old theory was that I'd play support in ranked or fill in where needed, thus giving my teammates the best chance to play the roles they were best at. After getting busted down to Silver II, I'm throwing that method out the window. The two games I've played ADC (arguably my worst non jungle role) in ranked I've done really well personally and actually carried the last game I played in where we had a Volibear who was disconnected on and off, what felt like 50% of the time. <
You can't get demoted right away when you join a new division. You'll notice a little star like icon next to your name that signifies you're a "recruit" and means you can't be demoted... so I guess it's a great time to spam games to get a point cushion. Okay! Players in lobby: Pacov, Dynamo (Me!), Gotnades, Hedgie, Karl, Hunny, Khan, Sharp (Has new name that starts with K, don't de-friend her!), Gerdum, Knurstie. All these players I consider very solid even if they have varying skill levels and role diversity, so I just say "Normal Pick Order" which is 1 - 2,3 - 4,5 - 6,7 - 8. The nature of these games makes proving anything when we " try my simple request and see how it goes" problematic. Did one team give up first blood in an invade? Did Cow decide to not be a top tier mid and go jungle Heimer instead? Did one team allow their weakest player to go top instead of playing the only role they could have been competitive in? Yeah, I think my original idea where one person divides up the teams and the other captain picks which team he wants was great... in theory. When it came down to actually doing it however, I felt I needed a bunch of pictures and a board to pin them on like in those shows like Homeland or The Wire to figure out what good teams would be. 20 Mbps Download and 2 Mbps Upload. Yeah doesn't sound like an upload problem... just four bar lag spikes, ice skating minions, etc. Hopefully I'll be able to figure something out when I get home, but it's been pretty aggravating when it wasn't as bad as yesterday. Knowing a day like yesterday could happen is going to take the enjoyment out of the game even when the spikes aren't bad enough to be game breaking.

I don't/didn't view sharp as a weak link. Now, I'm not saying weak link to be a jerk or anything, but its like this - I know, of the people I play with regularly, what I can expect from folks in a given role. But I don't know that for folks I don't play with regularly. So, I didn't think there was some huge mismatch between bryff and sharp.For all I know, sharp's a solid mid.
