I agree with Hedgie and Karl. I've had a couple of recent Ignite VS TP matchups and been on both sides of it and am leaning more and more to TP... at least until it's nerfed. Then we'll have to see. Just too many instances where you use up the ignite and almost get the kill... so they TP back at full health/mana and the advantage is theirs. Even worse is when you get a gank, use ignite to get the kill and then say in all chat: "That's right bitch! &nb

Grendel, finally someone else who has actually played in extremely low MMR games with an opinion on what it's like to play in them! First of all I'm curious what your experience and skill level are. What league/division is your main account in? Just to make it clear, I feel my issue with bumping my buddies up to where I feel they belong is the mythical Smurf Detector Algorithms they supposedly have in place. It feels like after I get fed my MMR goes up no mat
@Karl My IRL buddies played in two separate phases. When they started out they all couldn't care less and inadvertently made a lot of people in their ranked games miserable on their way to 400 MMR, so maybe in a way they deserved what happened to them. They took a break from the game and when they came back they watched LCS, took my advice on Runes/Masteries, learned new roles, etc and didn't take them long to become much better players but still stuck at the very
I think one of the points of mine you guys may be missing is that there is actually a significant difference between Bronze V and Bronze V 400 MMR. It is a difference that I don't think either of you could comprehend until you play in both types of games like I have. We're talking the difference between the people who will quit if they get pissed off for whatever reason at Bronze V and the people who pick Rammus because you can feed the other team the most kills in a game
I've actually seriously considered Elo Boosting my IRL friends. Not for rewards but because I felt that Riot has failed to give a way out of Elo Hell for people in their situation: People who started playing Ranked way before they were ready. I promised my buddies after they improved that there would be a reset for Season 4 and that would solve a lot of their problems. One of my friends went 7-3 and carried hard even in games he lost. Bronze V to Bronze V.
I don't know much about Blind Pick games cause I rarely play them, but they seem a poor way to judge the power level of most Support champions. Don't a lot of people jump on those to play permabanned hypercarries? "Time to take Jax top and get me some pentakills! Fuck yeah!" seems more likely than "Time to take Braum bot and hope my ADC knows how to follow up on my engages and then hopefully I'll get tanky enough to absorb enough damage before dying to subtly s
Re: Elo Boosting Among Pals Since you brought it up, let's have an adult discussion because it's something that has always held my interest. So, here is my understanding of what happened that you're referring to: A higher level player came to a lower level player with the hope that he could use the lower level players account to play with other lower level friends. The lower level player who loaned his account, ended up getting to Gold and was ess
I got into Gold III today in the most shameful way possible. Got destroyed first game out of three. They banned all my supports so I played Morg and struggled and we lost badly. Second game, banned all my supports again and so I played Zyra cause Morg didn't work out well the first game. We lost horribly. And then their fed Twitch DC'd. "GG EZ" is what I said in post game chat. Nah nah, just kidding, but yeah undeserved win. Third g
Well the point of my post was that he's one of the most cerebral and hard to learn champions in the game, even if some of the quote was outdated. I think you're just gonna have to get some experience to know when to do what. Having Uncle Karl sing you a song to the tune of The Gambler isn't gonna make you a Shaco master. You got to... know when to split push, know when to Deceive away, know when to ulllllt... Never count your boxes, while you're stealin t
Found a post on the forums that matches what my feelings on Shaco: You require precise and unique runes and masteries specifically for him. You need a strong team comp and good coordination with teammates you can trust and have understanding of Shaco's mechanics. You need to plot and plan your jungle routes, ganks, and all sorts of possibilities on what could go wrong and how to repremend that before the match starts. You must identify
I don't see myself as anything more than a Gold level player and would consider solo lanes to be a weak area for me in this game. Even so, my last two ranked games on my Smurf account had me going 17/5/9 with LB and 11/3/10 with Riven. I'm pretty out of practice with Riven but used to play her regularly, but LeBlanc is a high skill champion who I've barely ever played. So my point is, maybe you played with Falling Bandit while he was on his smurf account or may
Re: Sad Town Demoted to Gold V, but not sad about it. I failed my Gold 3 promos several times before dropping, so I'm thinking maybe dropping back down while learning the other roles better isn't so bad. I didn't have a chance get to Plat unless I could play Support every game, but that was still a maybe and Support isn't that easy to get every game especially if you're not duo queuing. Re: Bad Jax That sounds very frustra
Good call on busting chops not being a good idea. I got a little tilted the other day playing J4 top against a Teemo when our Lee Sin criticized my building Tiamat first. "You're not going to win your lane building damage." Well... I was actually 10-20 CS ahead of The Devil even though he had somehow come into lane at one point with Red Buff... through some dark haxxor magic, and I had only died once due to a tower dive from a gank which netted our jungler a clean-up kil
This all comes down to a risk/reward assessment. You prefer to be a tight poker player, while I'm a bit more loose and am willing to gamble a bit more.
Good poker players vary their style of play depending on their relative chip count compared to the rest of the table and their position in the particular hand they're in, just like good LoL players vary their builds depending on how they're doing in a game and
Re: Team Mix-Up I'm pretty sure Hedgie didn't think you were asking to be your team's mid and was referring to Cow wanting to "get the band back together" so to speak with Not In Cataract Anymore. I only know for sure because he said he'd be a liability and even being out of practice or out of position, he'd definitely be one of the two best players on GEMS. One of the three best if you end up picking up Mimira. Re: NinCA
I'm disappointed to hear your IGN isn't "El Pacov"
Re: Ping I have the same situation as Pacov where I'm around 100 at home and about 45 when I was visiting my folks last time in San Diego. I didn't play too much when I was over there last, but when I did it was kinda significant the difference. The main thing for me was that there weren't any "Huh? I coulda swore I got my Ignite off." moments. I used to look at my unused abilities after dying in a team fight and think that I was CC'd or somethi
12 win Arena run for me. First time I've done that. No epics or legendaries either - just playing strong mage cards. Funniest opening was me playing Mana Wyrm on turn 1, another Mana Wyrm + Coin + Amani Berserker on turn 2, then pinging the Berserker on turn 3. They didn't have any removal, so it was all over from there.
Congrats man! What was your loot after
I may have to break up with my girlfriend. She used to play Mage decks exclusively in Hearthstone, and it used to be fun to play against her with the crappy basic decks. The horrible cards in the premade decks would balance out the fact that she had some really awful cards mixed in with great cards like Poly and Fireball. All in all it would be a coin flip on who won and I'd enjoy the challenge of trying to outplay someone who had overall better cards. But one
Like Kaceytron Cow?
I guess I understand that being excluded like that from the team would make me feel pretty shitty under the same circumstances. I believe I apologized for not handling things better by reaching out and trying to explain the reasons I was worried about having you on the team instead of just ignoring the elephant in the room so to speak. If I haven't before, I'd like to say I'm sorry now. It's good that you're dealing with your frustrations and finding yo
@Karl I took the meaning of what he said differently than you did. I believe he means that if you're going to point out his mistakes and their possible relation to how poorly the game is going when he starts complaining about everything that is going wrong, then he'd prefer you not accept his invites in the future. @Pacov I'm surprised to hear that you're still slightly upset over what happened with the Ranked team I put together. First of a

I dusted some cards to get some key pieces so it has a lot more power. Better secrets, a Mukla, and that hunter weapon go a long ways. You have joined the dark side of hearthstone. May god look past your sins when it is your time of judgement.
I can't believe he's wasting dust on Hunt

Was my idea. Saw you had put me down at the wrong rank right below you for giggles so I figured it might be funny if someone besides myself said something like this: "Hey you've got someone down with the incorrect rank in your OP. It should read that..." and you're thinking "Ah someone finally noticed!" But then it's something else... Trust me it would have seemed a lot more clever if it wasn't the Night Pacov Laned With Kaceytron, trust me! &
