Sorian just posted in his blog ( http://soriandev.blogspot.com/ ) the following: "I have also spent a good chunk of this week working on Demigod fixes. Apparently Stardock has sent us a list of bugs they would like to see fixed, and I am happy to oblige. It gives me a reason to kick some AI butt with Demon Assassin on work hours. I did manage to fix a bug that has been bothering me since the last patch, which is n

People who purchased the Collector's Edition had it added to their Impulse accounts in early November. There appears to be no other way to get it. Better info in this thread: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/347981/page/2/#replies

I had a similar experience on Saturday. I won 5 of 6 games and got 1 win and 2 losses recorded. Host exploits were used in 4 of 6 games I played. It's pretty hard to improve my 20% win ratio if only the losses get recorded (and wins get recorded as losses). I wouldn't care so much, but I keep getting kicked due to poor win ratio. It is kinda funny though when the host forces me onto the other team, and then we win 'cause our team is stacked against them!<

Try running a good memory test program. Demigod uses more memory than most games and could be exercising some flaky memory. This would explain the non-deterministic nature of this issue.

A win rate for the last 30 days, and number of games played in the last 30 days would be great. Win rate with current demigod would be nice, but the stat overlay may not be able to tell which demigod you selected.

It would be ideal if Stardock would include the top 10 - 20 favorite mods in a minor patch every two weeks or so. That way the modding community can provide important fixes that can easily be used by all players in between major patch versions. It would also make it much easier to get a multiplayer game going that added new features, such as new favor items or artifacts. Since they are mods, players only need to activate those that they agree with. [e digicons]:f

Insanely fun! [e digicons]XD[/e] Used smart AI mod and played as TB with BotS on Zikurat vs 5 hard AI. TB levels up insanely fast, and becomes an offensive juggernaut! Start out as Fire and then add Ice. TB with all of his skills active is crazy fun. Thanks for the good time Sevenix! [e digicons]k5[/e]

Sounds like an opportunity for a modder to create a "Demigod Replay Manager" like they have for Supreme Commander. The only issue would be getting some data about the format of the Demigod replay files, so the manager could at least tell what version of Demigod created the file. Being able to extract information about players, teams, demigod choice, map, game length, etc would be helpful too.

According to Sorian's blog, TB's Ring of Fire also got fixed. The second cast of ring of fire won't get cancelled when the first one expires. Along with fixed auto-attack Fire TB just might be viable now. Woohoo! "I smell bacon!"

First - Torchbearer Last - Torchbearer I'm still trying to get good at Torchbearer before I try anything else. TBH, if you check my stats you'll see I've played 11 games as Sedna, but after being told by the opposing team "Wow, your Sedna sucks!", I gave up on her.

I just posted my theory on this bug in another thread. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/367597/get;2420628 I believe it is related to the sound sub-system, and thus dependent on PC hardware. Because of this, some people may see this bug every time the map control announcement is issued, and others will never see it (unless another player in the game has the problem).

I believe this crash/desync is related to a timing bug in the sound sub-system. If a process takes way longer than expected to process it can cause the game to get out of sync and/or crash since there are no checks past that point in time to see if the sound event has completed or not. It might also occur if a process takes way less time than expected. (I'm a real-time software engineer, so these are educated guesses on my part. I've never done any actual game programm

How about some "real" demon names. For example - from John Milton's Paradise Lost: Beelzebub - Prince of the demons Mammon - Demon of avarice, greed and injustice Belial - Demon of carnal lust Moloch - Satan's greatest warrior and general of the armies of Hell (my favorite)

I had this issue, too. It finally worked on the 4th restart! Full exit each time before restarting. By the 4th time I was convinced it wouldn't work, but it did! Same version as Neilo, running on Windows 7 RC.

When viewing a replay, change your view to a specific Demigod, turn on tracking (T), then switch back to observer mode. It will keep tracking the previously selected Demigod and there is now no way to turn off tracking (while in observer mode). Switching to observer mode should cancel tracking. It's a minor issue, since there's an easy work-around: just cancel tracking before switching to observer mode.

Being that I only get to play <5 games per week, I have been unable to increase my skills fast enough to become a good player. Replays can significantly reduce the learning curve for those of us who don't play all that often. I have been hanging in there, getting stomped every time I play, just to keep up what little skill I have, waiting for replays to come. Hopefully, after watching some high level games I can get my win/loss ratio above 20% [e digicons]:'([/e] .

I used to feel the same as the OP. But... This problem should largely dissapear after the 1.2 patch for two reasons. 1. You'll be able to see the experience rating of each player in the lobby, and can thus join games where the teams are more evenly matched. 2. Replays. Those of use who don't get to play much will be able to learn faster and not have to get stomped 100's of times before we figure it out.

I like 4v4 games. So I play Leviathan mostly, and Zikurat when I can. I've had one or two good games on Brothers. But one of my most memorable games so far was a 4v4 on Prison. What a riot! Everybody made it to level 20, and then things got really exciting. Pays to know your artifacts at that point...

I live in Arizona too, and i join East Coast games all the time. My ping to everyone is usually 150 or less. I join Australian/NZ games too. My ping to them is usually 250 - 300. Games in both cases usually run smoothly. A 500 ping to the East Coast is not normal. Your connection must be sub-par for some reason, in which case you are absolutely right. You should restrict your games to the local area. But, since most peop
