Please download the following file: http://sd.stardock.com/Demigodstub.exe Put that file in your Demigod\Bin directory and use it to load the game instead of Demigod.exe. This will bypass several issues that may cause the game not to start.

I have finally solved this for my system... installing the DirectX March redistributables seems to have done the trick... go here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en
This didn't do it for me, anyone else have luck with this?

A map maker + mod tools would have given this game awesome depth. Easy mod tooling like was included in WC-3 is part of the reason Demigod is around today to begin with; DOTA, ToB, Tower Defense style games give rise to the expansion of ideas and creativity. Shame.

Edit1: So, apparently clicking really fast on the game will sometimes cause it to launch properly. Somtimes it gives a thread error, other times it will succesfully launch. Try closing and opening impulse a few times and frantically clicking and see if you get anywhere.
Hm, I didn't get an intro movi

This is widesperad and I think occuring across ATI systems too.

I recall in beta someone having an IE toolbar that did weird stuff to Demigod (no idea why). But unloading various things in your system tray and trying to get the system as clean as possible would help us track down what is the conflict. Is there any program that will dump a process list to a text file?
</p

OKAY, I have the EXACT same problem as OP, verbatim. Click the .exe and it appears for a second in the process manager but then disappears. Nothing else happens. ALL of my drivers are up to date. This might be a very widespread problem, Stardock... I made a thread about this too and other people are having the same exact issue. I made a thread here-> http://forums.demigodthegame.com/346146 Here's my DxDiag: <span

Hello, After digitally downloading Demigod through impulse and clicking "run," I get an hourglass for about .5 sec and then nothing happens. The game does not launch at all. I get no feedback, no error. I DO NOT HAVE Comodo firewall or Logitech QuickCam. I have tried: Reboot Killing all unnecessary processes Redownload/Reinstall and none of these things have helped. If I navigate to the demigod.exe, and run it,
