In game method of creating custom ship styles in GalCiv III Future Ideas GalCiv3 Forums

I enjoyed watching my custom races flying around the universe with my custom ship designs in GalCiv2, even if they were still stuck with the default starter ships since that required messing with game files, which I am not comfortable doing. Set it to 1333. That's the highest setting before the MB tweaks the cpu to stay with it. Since then, when I power on my comp it will come on then shut off for a couple of seconds then power back up, presumably at the new fsb setting. Seems kind of unusual but have not had any problems with the game since or any other problems with the comp because of the new settings. Hope it works for you.

Thanks for the response. Seems I finally got it straightened out, though. My motherboard can use ram with 1600, 1800, and 2000 mhz bus speeds, but in doing so will automaticly overclock the cpu to optimize the system running at that speed. I went in the bios and lowered the dram fsb so the motherboard no longer tweaks up the cpu and instead lets it run at it's normal clock speed. That was over a week ago and I haven't had a problem since. I guess GalCiv Ulitimate just doesn't like any overclo

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but here goes. A few weeks ago I picked up a copy of Galciv2 DL game of the year edition. Great game! When I spotted the ultimate edition at the local Best Buy I couldn't resist grabbing it!
