Mysterious Black box behind Startpanel in WindowBlinds Stardock Forums

As soon as I install Vista Ultimate, the taskbar transparency issued SHOULD be resolved. But I would like to have the issue of the black box behind the start panel resolved. When I initially applied the SL style on my laptop (currently running Vista Home Basic) there was NO black box behind the startpanel. But the original SL start panel was too narrow and did'nt display the Right List side items. So created my own wider startpanel and adjusted the margins so that it fit perfectl

As I recently found out, Vista Home Basic cannot support Transparency like xP due to it lacking the necessary WDDM drivers. Now, I'm no Tech-Wiz, but when ever I needed OTHER types of drivers for other programs to run on my PC, I was able to simply download and install them. So, (and please dont laugh if this sounds stupid, but) cant the WDDM drivers be copies or extracted from xP and then installed on Vista inorder to get transparency support for Windowblinds?

I installed the latest WB build, rebooted, and STILL, i get the white sides and no transparency. Oh well! Maybe windows 7 will be better.

what I HAVE noticed tho is that when I load the Aero Broken Glass WB skin in Vista home Basic, the transparent areas on the explorer windows ARE transparent (you know where the edges of the windows look like the glass is cracked off?) So, how my graphics card MUST support transparency. But then, why wont the Start panel and taskbar do so aswell?

Or that WB will include features that will help Vista support them all. Otherwise, what's the point of purchasing WB if your running Vista? I recently bought a laptop running Vista Home Basic and have installed Windowblinds. I noticed tho, that when I apply skins that have transparent parts (such as the Start panel and Taskbar sides in the Diamond style) that I get these white or black sections on each side of the taskbar and under the start panel. Apparently skinning window frames isn't as easy as skinning say, the taskbar or even the start panel. I opened various parts of the window frame of the Diamond style but each part is is doubled ( one for the selected frame and the other for non-selected frame, i know).
