How the hell do you all find the time to play for that long?! I've only played single player for the wonderful pause and save features.
How long does an online multiplayer game last on average. Is it something that I'd have to commit a solid hour to at least? I love online rts games like CoH and DoW2, but those games can be played in 15 to 45 minutes 1 hour max. That appeals to me. Should I expect something twice as long?
Yeah Starbases suck right now. But hopefully a patch will make them actually be formitable.
Do you play with them on or off? I wish there was an option to define how frequent the pirate raids are. Having them happen every 10 minutes is annoying. I'm thinking about turning the option off, but I do really like them as a factor in the game, they just hit too frequently and having to babysit the bounty page so often sucks! So how you you all use focus fire. Do you have all ships hit one at a time or do you have several handfulls of ships hitting one at a time? If so how do you prioritize which ships to use against which? Do you include capitals in the focus fire? Do you prioritze hitting capitals over frigates or vice versa? Thanks for whatever help! Is it worthwhile for the Vasari to research for media hubs and their various culture war techs since they're so militarily focused?
Thanks for the detailed explanation! [e digicons][/e]
How important is it to explore all your planets. Are artifacts really that valueable that I should throw away resources to explore a planet that has nothing to offer in the end. Is it really worth the gamble?
Okay now I see. Its about skipping planets. Right on. Still curious about the solar system jumping with the phase stablizer...

Thanks a lot of this! I'm just coming to grips with this game and the Vasari and your post and this forum in general is an incredible resource [e digicons][/e]
Ah, thanks.
First I just want to say hi to this forum. I just bought the game and its unbelieveable! My question is HOW do I use the phase stabilizers that I've built with the Vasari. I've built two of them at two seperate planets in the same solar system and I don't know how to use them. I select a ship and left click on the stabilizer but the ship doesn't enter the portal. I assumed it should be that easy but its not working. What am I doing wrong?
