kryo, Reading over my post again I think there's been a misunderstanding. I wasn't referring to the 7 May 2009 release date being pushed back to 15 May 2009. As the sub-title of my post says (which I now know is a bad place to put critical information) I was referring to the 15 May release date being pushed back to 22 May. Can you give any feedback on that in light of Frogboy's recent blog/journal post stating that you guys are gearing up for the European/Asian release tomorro
On Friday, the international release of Demigod goes out in Europe and Asia so we’re working to make sure Europeans get a good experience by this weekend (along with everyone else).
OK now hang on, when I queried this earlier this week kryo said, "Atari's date has been the third week of May for a while now..." Ac

Hurray for number 2! Did that come from my reply yesterday or did it just surface in testing? I ask because it'd look really great on a CV if I said I gave you a free engineering consultation and you used it ;-).
The solution is quite shiny, and kudos for its implementation. I do have a problem with it, though I don't think my opinion (or that of my poor gamer countrymen) counts for much on the interwebs. You see, there are some of us down here (South Africa) who are sold 384kbps ADSL as 'broadband.' This is the entry-level cabled 'broadband' connection and has a maximum upstream speed of 128kbps. In reality you get about 80-96kbps throughput. At about 20kbps required per player in the game th

Perhaps they should save for 2 years to be able to buy a piece of software/culture or anything else that can be copied (not stolen) for free. Myself, I bought the game, I belong to the rich western part of the world that can afford it. But pointing your gold ringe
I've given this the weekend and Monday to see if Frogboy mentioned this in one of his updates. If he has, then I've clearly missed it and apologise pre-emptively. My local retailers that are a bit more on-the-ball than the others posted the new release date on their websites on Friday evening/Saturday morning (+2GMT) already. The rest caught up yesterday. Checking out Amazon in Germany and the UK also revealed the new release date while France claims to have received the game on 7 May
Thanks for the quick response! That's very sad to hear. I really wanted to participate in this but the premium is just too high at the moment. I'll just hope for the USD->ZAR exchange rate to drop to 7 again [e digicons];P[/e] .
I would like to pre-order Demigod and participate in the beta but if at all possible I would like to do so through a local retailer. For at least 2 (pragmatic) reasons: That way the distributor (Megarom distributes for Atari in South Africa) worries about customs duties and shipping of the boxed game; and It's cheaper for us (South Africans in general). To elaborate on point 2... PC games in South Africa are sold at retailers for significantly
