After playing a bunch of single player games, I'm interested in at least attempting to not get embarrassed in a MP game or two. Thing is, I'm in Hawaii, which means my pings are probably pretty terrible to basically anywhere. What should I be looking for as an acceptable value that won't impact my ability to play the game?

Ah. Now that you mention that and I look a bit closer, I can see it. Initially it just looked to me exactly like those spots would look if I hit the z button to remove buildings.
I think I've only noticed this since the latest patch.
See the attached image. Not all messages have the problem, though, as you can see up above in that list it's the correct 'You have...' You can also see this a bunch in Soren's campaign stream today.
I had just bought out two companies and wanted to see what they looked like, so I clicked the first one, the second one, then back to my base. As the screen was navigating back to my base it froze and I had to force quit after a few minutes. Ctrl + shift + down doesn't do anything in game as I think the OS is interpreting it as one of the Mission Control shortcuts (ctrl + down is one). Disabling the Mission Control shortcuts is a temporary workaround.
When setting up a game, include the currently selected difficulty in the list (could be applied to all combo boxes, but difficulty is the only one where the ordering isn't immediately obvious). As it is currently, if 'Employee' is selected, the options displayed in the list are: Intern Assistant Manager Executive VP CEO Given my employment history, 'Employee' could either be the easiest s

2560x1440 at High Settings. The game plays perfectly smooth other than some occasional UI lag when opening the advanced building tabs (Engineering Lab, Patent Lab, etc). I gather from reading the forums that that's a common problem and not something associated with playing on a Mac.
I had a lockup during the scavenger tutorial while attempting to place a building. I noticed a few thread connection (?) exception error messages sometime before the lockup. Is there a log file or anything on the Mac that we should be adding to these posts? 27" iMac, Late 2013 3.5 GHz i7 8GB DDR3 GTX 780M 4GB OS X 10.10.2
