Greetings conquerors, liberators and immigrants of the Galaxy Far, Far Away. At long last, the next official version of Rebellion, version 1.84 , has been released on steam (hopefully GOG will follow shortly). The delay was a lot longer than we expected, but it offers a lot of good improvements for mods over the 1.82 version. Needless to say, Interregnum also got an update, and will include a lot of the other goodies we&
I just downloaded the mod and followed the install instructions but I get a runtime error on starting the game... I tried both with and without the large adresses aware exe. Can it be because of the 1.84 update?
Yup. I'm putting out an update today (hopefully) to update it, and add lots of cool new features. :-) See the next post for details. [quote who="furyofthestars" reply="45
A Timeline of Star Wars: Interregnum, Part 7 – Deadly Dealings Two Years After Endor (6ABY) Overlord Jarthulak, a core member of the Vasari Central Command, rose slightly in his chair in the conference room on his personal Vorastra titan as the results of the vote were counted.
May I double the exp needed for each ship and just give them 2 skill points each lvl? I can just change 1 file for it or I have to do all the cap ship and titan files? that is about 27 files we are talking about here
You can't have them give 2 skill points per level. Capitalships always get 1 and titans two. All you can do is double the XP and double the stat bonuses ship get on level up as well as double the ef
The thing is is that, as a titan ability D(?), it seems as though it is hardcoded that one can put 2 points into the ability no matter what you set its max levels at.
Oh, well that is a problem. I'm pretty sure I know what's causing that though, so I should be able to make it so you can only put one level into it.
Btw is the new warlord ship going to
Seeing as you set it up with different levels of buffs, I'm assuming you didn't intend to set warlord Zsinj's "Danger Sense" ability to only have one level?
It's supposed to be one level. The main part of that ability is making the fleet jump blocker immune, along with Detecting incoming enemies. Those are boolean benefits that gain no benefit from scaling, so having multiple levels of this a
I want to change the lvl cap for all capital ships and titans, I hope this would be just text mod, lvl 10 is just not good enough for me, add more skill levels would be great too
Not possible, 10 is the highest you can get, and no mod is capable of changing it. Someone probably would have done it otherwise. :p All you can really do is change how much XP it takes for caps/titans to advance through the ten levels.
2. I want add skills to
Examples of the more obvious abilities to me that should have the "NotInvulnerable" constraint added are the Venator Beam, the ISD I Tractor Beam, Thrawn's Prediction ability, and Vader's Force Choke. I'm sure there's a few more, but I'm guessing you'll go through them all at some stage and make whatever adjustments you want; I just thought I'd draw your attention to it.
Oh I know they exist
There are other issues with letting temporary ships not disappear after the timer, so that won't change.
On a similar note, I think that any temporary ship should be a bit more subtle about 'leaving' your service - as in - doesn't Allahu Akbar on you and litter the gravity well with its debris.
Sadly I can't do that without not giving it an explosion for being destroyed either.
If you'd like a preview of Alpha 3.12, here's a little PVP game I did with some modders from Star Trek Armada 3, outerexodus and KillaBC. Video is from outerexodus' perspective.
Any tips, tricks, or hints for a guy that usually gets his butt kicked in original Sins?
Well, going from the original Sins to Rebellion means you also not only get the new stuff from Rebellion, but the earlier Entrenchment and Diplomacy expansions as well. One of the big problems with the original Sins was that defenses quickly became inadequate in the late game, where large fleets could easily take out a planet
Well if you like 4X mechanics, my Enhanced 4X Mod tries to expand those types of features into Sins as much as possible. More fleshed out economics/culture, Diplomacy enhancements, espionage, capitalship/titan customization, more diverse race/faction traits, new research etc. It's also very customizeable with minimods, one of which does try to improve the AI a little bit. Even with mods though, I'd recommend playing on at least h
Will research Rebellion for sure. Hard to imagine "so much better". I'm having a blast with Sins.
Rebellion is 75% off on GoG right now!
But, will we see this fixed? without most of the sounds, the game is a piece of shit. You can test it by yourself.
For me the sounds are now working with 1.83 on the normal .exe. The developer.exe still has the bugged sound, but that is mostly a temporary issues only for modders. Normal players can play mods and have the sound work just fine on the steam opt in beta (GoG might still be bugged sadly).
Since it is already 2016, could you make the exe LAA (Large Address Aware) by default now? Sins really could use the extra RAM (1 or 2 GB depending on system). I mean, those of us who still play the game do so mainly with mods of sorts, and we are hitting the mem wall left right and center Thanks!
The Devs have said before they cannot do this because some PCs do not handle the LAA flag well. Putting LA
Have to think about spending fifty bucks for a game that I have to down load.
Well the nice thing about digital games is that they go on sale for deep discounts more often. At least a few times a year it goes 66%-75% off.
Anybody got a good list of download sites for this MOD? ModDB showed 5 hours on a dl, looking for something a little faster. Thanks, -Vess
Do you have a moddb account? You get faster downloads if you are a registered user. Also this is a very large mod.
No. Sins basically uses random names for everything. In theory it may be possible with custom maps, but I haven't really tried it honestly.
What he means is that the normal AI difficulty does not cheat and has no special advantage over a human player. It starts with one homeworld just like you do and has to earn all its money normally.
Yup. Whatever the normal AI player does, you can do too. Only at the hard level does it start to get some extra little advantages to keep up with human players.
Yeah,
Quoting Scartch, reply 2 This was a new sealed game, but I have not been able to find a key. Product version is 1.1.6.5 I think that is the latest build for the original Sins. Didn't know they were still selling the original though. Wow.
</p
Just a reminder, Mandalorians will be arriving... one day...
