The game should pick up new XML files from the Documents\My Games\Elemental folder without having to recreate the core XML binary. While this works for some types of XML files, it is NOT working for tech tree XML files. If anyone has any luck modifying the tech trees, please post how you managed it.
few questions: were you in beta? If yes did you completely uninstall the beta? ( i know this is possible as it happened to me) did you change either the worlds or Mangar's difficulty level?
Yes I completely uninstalled the beta and deleted all the files. I did not change any settings besides setting the world size to large. This was around turn 315 or so. Maybe the AI
Here's a screenshot of his combat rating. Surprisingly, things didn't end well for Procipinee.
He was level 2 at the time of that screenshot, but has leveled to three. I think his hp is up to 1531. Ouchie.
He's just crushing my towns. Dirty cheater.
The hero doesn't seem to have any special equipment, just crazy stats.
I was just attacked by the AI. The AI had a single hero: Level 2, 612 hp's, combat rating of 53498. Does this seem right?
You can create upgrades for the initial colony and capital by creating new improvements in the PlanetaryImprovements.xml. Just specify the internal name of the improvement that you want to upgrade. For example:
InitialColony
Using windows system restore, worked for me to, with basically the sames problems. Although I had to reinstall SDC, but after a nice long download of GC2 I now have the game working again. Thanks for the idea AngleWyrm.
If someone could upload the file somewhere and provide a link that would be great. Or even better would be for Stardock to fix the problem
Please post a link to the file once you get it loaded on to a webserver. I could use the file too. Thanks.
I'm having the same problem.
Hi, I'm trying to reinstall GC2 but I'm having a problem getting the game to install properly. Please see the bottom of log file attached for the error message. I did a complete uninstall and install of the latest version of Stardock Central, but that has not help resolve the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. gc2.log file: -- [Application] ---------------------------------------------------- Nam
