To watch replays: http://www.gamereplays.org/community/index.php?showtopic=405375 However they are still buggy and half my replays go "player x has left the game" and the game ends when there is clearly still more to go and it has the rest recorded (i can tell by file size). Tips: press + to speed up. They REALLLLLLLLLLY have to add these in soon.

UB is far from OP :)
I usually go for the target who doesnt have the shield on. If you cant find one wear down the shield and as soon as it goes use a burst-damage skill (e.g. Bite, Hammer Slam - needs to be done fast, Snipe, fireball etc.). Also the best way I have found to actually take the shield down is Regulus's mines.
P.S - Read this: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/313497
Sorry I forgot when they mentioend this was going to be a single player game. I thought this was MP focused and Single Player was just a bonus.
Game released on Tuesday - by Friday it would have been a week and a half. If games isnt fixed by then, there is really no excuse.
Good guide and a nice read
Okay than Cerulean - looking forward to your application.
ill like them more and spread word of the game?
That will get them just as much money so thats good too :)
I bet they're excited about that $280, that will almost pay the overtime for one night of a developer.
We will get more...hopefully. A $300 tournament doesnt sound so bad does it?
Gameranger is much better then Hamachi. There is only one "network" that everyone joins unlike all the little Hamachi ones and games are easier to see and make with a easy interface. However, once Demigod is working well return to that :)
No it will not die because the first week sucked :)
Agreed. However - Custom Games can ONLY give you favour points IF default settings are on (with the game mode varying) and NO a.i
Been playing the game for less then 3 days and you are already saying stuff likes this :P
2) Exponential death penalties.
Ah yes, so if someone is losing, they should get punished even further and there should be no chance at all for them making a comeback.
3) Maps need to be re-arranged
Once you reach higher level of play you will find your citadel will be taken down pretty easily if the other player is fully upgraded and onto you
If we're talking about major sites, why is Stupid Spot up in that list? No one with half a brain listens to it anymore.
Hate to say it, but a lot of sales come from it.
Nope its just some visual eye candy, but the connecting doesnt actually do anything.
Very useful tips - good post Kestrel :)
I might apply, though I'll easily admit not being a regular of GR asides from watching the videos. Should I simply not bother applying? You can be honest, as a web designer and aspiring author I'm quite use to criticism.
Of course not. Our latest Strategy Specialist (ViridShaman) became staff when he had 0 posts. As long as you can occasionally provide some nice tips or even guides every now and then and meet some of other requirements listed in the link provided then
I won't buy another copy but I will tell a couple friends about the game.
Fair enough. Not everyone has the extra money to spend on another copy and will probably think this is too much. Spreading the word is just as good :)
For the replays - you can manually save each one by change the "lastgame.DGREPLAY" filename to "2v2_Win" or w/e. Your next game will then save as "lastgame.DGREPLAY". Good tips - specially the ` health bar one ;)
Just so you (and everybody else who reads this) know, those sites only give above an 8.0 on games/companies that pay for advertisement space on their site. Forget the "oh, that was only one time thing" bull that some people might say, but it's been proven time and time again that those companies are using their reviews as a buyout. I don't trust a damn one of them.
If only all the people who read the review knew that :( Unfortunately 90% of the people who read
If connectivity is working smoothly (I can connect to games as frequently as I can on other RTS's such as RA3/CnC3/WC3/SC2) by Friday (24th), then I will buy an extra copy of Demigod. Anyone else care to join? ======================================================================================== People Signed up so far <a id="ctl00__Content__LinkAuthor" class="Article_Author hand" title="Click
Maybe you misunderstood. It's not there's no lag in Demigod. It's that I can't even play Multiplayer to begin with.
That has nothing to do with your country i think - thats just poor connectivity for everyone. What exactly happens when you try to play online?
I wouldn't have gotten it if I knew I couldn't play Multiplayer. I'm from Singapore and I have games like Company of Heroes, Warcraft, Diablo, Battlefield, Team Fortress 2 are games that I have had no problems with playing and connecting to people in US West, EU. What is so special about Demigod that I can't play with anyone outside Asia? When I asked GreenReaper what Stardock is going to do about us Asians, he basically said that we're screwed, the only way to pl
*Looks at the names of the companies reviewing* Hmm... all one's that I would not trust if they told me the sky was blue outside
Gamespot is full of **** imo when it comes to reviewing. Shame however that A LOT of people will look at their scores and say, "below 8.0 - not getting". They are naive people, but thats where the money comes from.
meta-critic has it at 50/100 atm - which is what people will look at. Like the end bit about "re-reviewing" - all reviews should do that imo. Maybe there is hope IGN/Gamespot will boost the score if connectivity gets fixed soon?
