So I guess the lucky day is *finally* here! Will monitor the forums between meetings... ;)

It would be fine, if founders have the beta concurrently with the stream, so we could examinate the stuff in parallel. Haha :D
Never got the magazine, although I am subscribed. Can it be downloaded online?
Well, since Stardock typically releases stuff on Tuesdays or Wednesday, I guess we will have to wait to the very last date. That is tommorrow :) And about having the time to play - tell me about it. I went on a business trip and had to spend four hours in the train... working, when I could be playing ;)
From your lips to Brad's ears!
Lol, hopefully no more torture-waiting :)
Well, IslandDog said during the yesterday stream something like: Watch dedicated founders forum for upcoming info on beta. So hopefully the word "upcoming" referred to hours rather than days or weeks :)
Thanks, Kristy. Few questions, although partially answered by our friend DevildogFF: 1) Any changes to alliances mechanism? 2) Any changes to combat mechanism - small vs. big ships, evasion etc.? 3) How about changes to military starbases? Making them more competitive?
No. I am actually looking forward to them.
Hi guys, I strongly feel that Stardock is gradually loosing credit with this Founders beta thing. It is not about not being patient, we are all adults, it is about being honest and open with your (VIP) community. You should not really keep these people in the dark, or not even bait them with 'mid February'. Stardock, we need some community management! ...and preferably beta as well ;)
Running late with no friendly informative words for us slavering founders is a different thing
Exactly. Hopefully Frogboy will lost some honest words with us, his most faitful...
Even better! Considering Frog´s statement in another thread, the Founders´ beta should be almost ready, right? Do not bait us anymore, guys ;)
But if that mechanic is brought back it would only be reasonable (and fun) to be able to assign escorts to your mini freighters, otherwise raiding would be too easy.
What do you have your fleets for, my friend? :)
Getting the Founders build ready...
Hooah! Can´t wait :)
Was it GC1 or GC2 that had the mini freighters that could be attacked and destroyed? If I recall correctly after the mini freighter was destroyed 3 times (might be off on the number) you got a message that the trade route was being discontinued because it was too dangerous. I liked that mechanism.
Indeed, that was great and we need this mechanics back. It put on another layer of strategy when playing (againts) merc
Some of the team, including Brad, is at GDC this week. Once they get back I'll remind them of this thread.
Thanks, Island dog. Mainly this needs some "reminder" ;)
Quoting Taslios, reply 3So when do founders get to play it? will there be a beta period? I would say mid February.
Any new information for us faithful founders, guys? [e digicons]:fox:[/e]
Really Frogboy, you should have stayed with the Ashes and not take over Galciv III helm... :) LOOKS GREAT! Beta soon? :)
Oh for God's sake please don't! You already derailed the thread with your epic rant and now you want to continue to do so with your personal tests of your mod? Seriously? I for one (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) could care less about your mod test results. Go to the modding section and start a new thread and stop polluting this one please! This is about Crusade, not your personal mod and the issues you have with it... <
Heh. Not this week.
But... but you said... [e digicons]X([/e] Just joking. Bake it, till it´s ready!
Note that the "leaders" can freely change between what bonuses they provide.
I have understood it this way. BTW, we (founders) are getting the beta this week, aren´t we? :P
This looks... simply great! Can´t wait to test it myself :)
yeah you did. He said there will be no public beta.
You should update your ship logs, admiral. Frogboy indeed said, what Yagaboosh mentioned.
Quoting Frogboy, reply 9 Quoting Taslios, reply 3 So when do founders get to play it? will there be a beta period? I would say mid February.

Did Brad mention that, or did I dream again?
Yeah, he did. I am hoping tommorrow might land a nice surprise on my Steam :)
Really nice discussion. So to sum it up, I feel that the first necessary steps are: fixing the alliance mechanics (and thus making diplomatic focus "my big friends protect me" workable) fixing the treaties, or at least their description I, for myself, would like to be able to set the duration of pacts and treaties , currently fixed to 50 turns. Why not use choice of e.g. 10 turns, 20 turns, 50 turns, indefinite? Plu
I'll be doing surgery on all of the AI including diplomacy. Feel free to create a thread dedicated to that. As some of you know, I eat up your saved games and feedback like candy.
Thanks Frogboy, AI is one thing, but I think the featuring itself should be revamped. Please see charon's post above, this is exactly it!
