Mods for Ultimate-Edition ? ( especially StarTrek ) in Modding GalCiv2 Forums

Hi, I am new to the Mods-Section in GalVic2. I bought long time ago the normal version of the game, and know the ultimate collection. I am looking for a good StarTrek-mod for this game. Found more than one in this forum, so I am not sure, which is the best and which is actually working with the ultimate edition. Can someone give me a hint which is working/best ? Regards Hassamu

At first, THANKS to you all ! 1) I think the Tips will help. 2) I heared that a german version of the two Add-Ons is coming in this month. I think I'll wait until they are released. ( Does anybody know a fix date ) ? 3) I meant what Zettai Baka said. I thought that I could click on Shields III in the research tree and the game automatically researches Shields I+II. Thanks to you all again !

General Tips for a Newbie in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

Hi everybody, I am totally new to GalCivII. I am not totally new to 4x Games, but I didn't play any for a long time. I brought "Dread Lords" today and I am playing my first game on the lowest difficulty. I got some Questions : 1. Do you have general Tips for the start ? 2. Should I buy both Add-Ons right from the start, or is the normal Version good enough to play first ? 3. Am I able to research a full Tech-Tree automatically ? Hope you can give me some answers.
