anyone know how to fix it?
Is anybody else's lagging really bad?
Srshifke: They haven't sent out the keys yet. They will send them out after PAX.
Thanks.
I just downloaded Impulse and it is amazing! :) It says Demigod is a product that can be registered but you need a product registration number and the last time I checked there wasn't one even for the people that pre-ordered? If I'm wrong please correct me. Thanks.
I don't care how "rough" the beta will be; I'm still super psyched for it!!! :)
Thanks for the explaination :) I've not played DotA, so after reading about it on all the different threads it really helped to get this explaination about DotA and the differences between DotA and Demigod.
Good luck Scathis and thank you for the amazing things we have seen so far :)
Are any of you guys planning on actually playing Demigod online (ranked even ) when the beta/retail is released? And I mean with recognizable accounts, not smurf ones.
Sure am.
In an E3 interview for Gamespot, it was said that they're actually blending the lines between Generals and Assassins a bit so they're not as drastically different in purpose.quote] I know they are thinking of blending the the two player types (I've read the article in it's entirety myself), but there still seems to be a lot of the Rook, Torch Bearer, Regulus, and Unclean Beast are Assassin type and no one for the General type; not to complain, just saying what I see; which I also
The site I listed above also has some abilities listed for each character...Hope I was able to help.
Here is a listing of released characters (so far) and general info. on them; hope this helps : Torch Bearer (Assassin): The Torch Bearer is an undead warlord that was burnt to death by his subjects. He "lives" as a charred skeleton clad in Viking armour and wields a staff of fire and ice. It appears that his primary form of attack is to cast fire and ice type spells (such as balls of fire and ice bolts). Rook (Assassin): The Rook is the soul of a king inside a walking c
Is Queen of Thorns the woman in the moving flower/plant? And can you tell us if she is a General or not? If not, I understand, but it'd be really nice to know that we"ve finally seen a general in, so far, a sea of assassins.
I'm edging more towards a charcter like Torch Bearer, but I can't ignore the shear power of a Demigod such as Rook, not to mention his abilities to regain health with the more structures you place on the map. I'll most likely be an Assassin character, General isn't to appealing to me as of yet because there haven't really been any showings of a definate general; though it can be speculated that the fairy looking creature seen in the trailer is a general because it looks as though she is
but it would also be good if you had a minimap you could turn on or off.
Yeah I agree, that's why I also suggested it as an in-game menu option.
Is there a difference between Single Player level-ups and Multiplayer level-ups? And do you start at ground zero all over again on each new map/battlegorund? Or does your level stay with you and progress as in an RPG? Thanks for the responses.
And I agree, awesome job you guys; simply incredible.
Strategic Zoom will definately be nice, but I worry if you would lose sight of your Demigod if the map is a large one and their are many combatants, especially if you aren't a giant Demigod such as Rook...I guess we'll just have to see how large the maps will tend to be; Strategic Zoom will, as you said, probably be more than enough, but a mini map would still be a nice addition.
Soley based on design, which character(s) would you say is/are your favorite(s)?
I'm thinking it would be a good idea (especially becasue of Assassins since they are in the frontlines of the battle, but also for Generals because they would be albe to see where to send the next wave of their forces to fend off enemies) for there to be a mini map in one of the corners, or accessible by an in-game menu, so you can see where the enemy forces are attacking from and how close they are to your castle and portals(the things that send your reinforcements).
Yeah, I pre-ordered my copy today as well...Anyone know if there is still room for the beta? I haven't been able to find anything noting otherwhise.
Do you have to register with your pre-order reference number in order to receive the beta e-mail in August? Or is pre-ordering Demigod from Stardock enough?
