Very basic how to question in Stardock Software Stardock Forums

This question is really basic and I have no idea what forum it belongs in. I just purchased a game online (download and CD) and received my confirmation e-mail. The e-mail also provided me with a serial number and a link to the impulse site and instructed me to download and install impulse (which I have done) and then go to the site in yhr link and enter the serial number for my purchased game.
