This is usually how I do things. Build one capital ship and 2 scouts. Then set them to auto scout. Next build combat frigates (right up to the ship cap.) Build two civilian (not military) research stations. And research ice or volcano planet colonization. (Whichever one is convienient.) By now your scouts should have a few planets reveiled. Take the nearest asteroids. Then start looking at "choke point", Holding worlds were all the faze lanes bot

That could be interesting. On a more technical note I'd like each race to get thier won unique flagship. Heres what I'm Thinking... 1) First off, these ships are either at the end of the research tree (same as each race's super weapon), or need lots of research to fully upgrade (like space stations). They cost 2 (or even 3) command points and (at least 100) logistics plus a ton of resources. Each race can only have 1. All 3 race's fl

What would you like a sins campaign to be about? I'd like a a campaign for each race, telling their back stories. TEC: The story of how the trade federation was founded up to the exile of the Advent. Advent: The story of there time spent in exile and how they became an empire Vasari: The story of thier flight from their home worlds until they arived in trader space.

I've had this happen a couple of times now... When I build star bases inside a star's gravity well, they go verticle above the star and get stuck. Usually far away from the star, were they're utterly useless, in the middle of nowhere. Has anybody else had this?

lol. Nothing like a giant fleet steamrolling space, flat. Heres a bad joke for your Before your attack the enemy commander asked his subordinates to bring him a red shirt. This way he claimed, "if I am wounded my men will not see my blood and will continue to fight bravely". His subordinates amazed that their commanders forsite immediatly went and found him a red shirt. A few moments later he recieved a report about the s

Recall Dark Armada= One of the best abilities in the game. This is always the first thing on my reaserch to-do list, because it has so many potential uses/strategies. If your fast enough to research it, RDA is a great way to zerg rush larger multi system maps. If your a turtler its a great way to clear mines. Just keep throwing them at an enemy gravity well. The ships are free and with a few nodes in a large syste

I hate that. The AI sends constructors in and replaces starbases I just destroyed all the time. But I don't want an opponent to be able to role thru 3 planets before I can mass a defense. I'd prefer a rule that halves SB build time, but not upgrades (lost resources hurts enough when its destroyed), if a gravity well is under attack. On a totally unrelated note I'd love to see a story campaign for sins. It's the only thing missing from an o

I've been playing since the first day sins was on sale and have yet to find them... so it may take you a while. Also let us not forget that the above mentioned space tulips are of the doomy variety... What with that whole enough firepower to level planets, decimate fleets, and use nanites to make all the toast in the universe come out burnt (no matter how much you fidlle with the temp adjustment). Truelly a tulip of stinky floral evil

Exactly... if your playing the expansion now; it cant be all that bad, right? Would you rather they set a release date six months from now so had no game to play at all. I think releasing a new complete beta to pre-orderees (while they wait for the finished) is a marvelous idea... One of the most promising things about digital distribution imho. If your really that angry about pating for a beta ask for a refund and don't play it anymore.

I fail to see the problem... Even if it's a beta it's a near complete build, so its not like we payed for air in a jar. How many game companies have pushed back their releases and still ended up turning out a turd? Isn't playing the beta (while they make changes that we the players are asking for), better than sitting around waiting for the game to be released? Imagine how much longer it would take for sins to be released if the devs had to do all the beta testing i

If your playing the beta while you wait for the full release whats the problem? At least stardock gave us something to do while we wait for a compplete build. Whats more because they're making changes based on player imput, the game is going to be better not worse for the delays.

I think each faction already has a few unita that could fill that role (just needs to be added as an ability). The tec robotics cruiser is a perfect example: give it an antimine nanoswarm ability. then all you have to do is send in a squadron with a few scouts to make a hole for your more vulnerable/valuble units. Maybe giving the antistructer units an AOE ability for use against mine fields would be another approa
