It definitely blows as an anti-channeling cap, but the Vasari don't have anything else outside of hit the cap with nanite bombs and assailants quick enough to tkae it out before the MB gets in he right place to work. The Advent have the best lrf, the best hc, the best support cruiser ability, and the best cap abilities (except for maybe MB). What is drastically needed is more weapons and abilities that outrange repulse, either lower its range or increase the range of phase missles and the abilities that disrupt it. Right now a battleball can take on ANYTHING, four vasari starbases (not sure if they were fully upgraded) around a star at the same time, took three minutes. But IMO it

The vasari caps logically should be either completely obsolete pieces of crap (cause they are 10,000 years old) or machines of utter ownage (cause they are aliens), but what they are, are merely adequate. The kortul's disruptive strikes is one of the most annoying abilities on the game to fight against, i must say, and power surge can be too since it takes an extra second or two to die. Vasari caps need a reworking of their abilities, not just buffs to the ones they have. Nano disasse

If you want a philosophical debate then start one, don't get all huffity puffity because this isn't what you were looking for. yngmon's three threads could be mistaken for spam, but he isn't harming anybody. He's just being odd and since we're all on a forum produced by a company that makes a game about exiled elitist woman with psychic powers fighting empirical aliens in space i think it wouldn't be that hard to call us weird either.

If you want a PC to run a game like gears of war and have it look as good as it does on a 360, you will need to spend much more than you would for a 360 and the game. Whether or not you play it on an HDTV doesn't matter since HD only affects the resolution (and colors depending on brand and such...) and to game at 1900x1200 fluidly on a PC, you will need at least a gtx 260, thats about $200, two-thirds the cost of a 360 alone. Not to mention in two years when better games come out, yo

The Advent are vastly more powerful than the other races, but there is no way clear way to balance them. If illums are nerfed then the advent have no strong direct combat units until HCs, it already takes longer to get illums than any other lrf. Their greatest weakness is an early game rush, before they can get enough illums and guardians out. The idea of a race with many synergies between abilities is great, but when you put it up against two other races with very few ways to counter

There is simply more money to be made in the console market right now, for many reasons. One is that few people enjoy the hobby of building and maintaining a decent gaming rig, if you buy a console, you are set. If you buy a PC, you need to take care of it and it can get expensive when you want to upgrade anything. Then there is piracy, games on console are harder to pirate because all the hardware is proprietary and WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES play a burnt copy of a game

They can take on an equal number of scouts and survive long enough against moderate resistance to colonize a neutral. The siege frigate could learn much

The best defensive structure is the repair bay, build these at planets the pirates are attacking and put a capital ship there and the cap will gain a lot of experience for killing the pirates. Also, repair bays allow a smaller fleet to take on a much larger one. Use them at planets your opponent likes to attack to help put your smaller fleet. Against the AI you can usually get away with heavily fortifying every planet they like to attack to buy time to build up your economy an
