basically, there was a bug that caused an exception in the building update code, so everything after that didn't run, which is why the game went off the rails. Everything else that happened is just a result of that issue.
FYI, leaderboard is going to be reset sometime next week...
what is the bug?
If you see a good example in a mp game, please do a replay and post screenshots with pop up help that shows the issue. It's hard to keep stock prices consistent across versions as the general balance keeps changing.

To clarify, we know that the new UI is, in some ways, a temporary step backwards from the old UI, but we made the change because a non-insignificant number of people were having a very bad experience with the old UI due to latency problems. The new UI solves this issue, but it will take a little time to get back to the level of the old UI (and for boring technical reasons, we couldn't maintain both UI's in Beta 7 without risking a lot of bugs...)
Does it crash when you replay the game? When is your name not on the top? In Quick Match?

What do you mean by " the inability to observe from anyones point of view"? Which UI are you using. I know I changed the new UI so that you have to press SHIFT when you click on a player's name to observer them (and it says so in the popup help). Sorry about the team chat issues. We will work them out on Monday.
