Cool, thx for the replies :)

Hey guys I actually never got to buy sins but I tried the demo when it was released, and kinda liked it. Now I'm installing it again, to give it another try, but it seems ALOT have happened since the original release. So I was wondering, how would you compare the demo version of soase to the curent version, entrenchemnt and diplomacy. Is it alot better? (if yes, why?)
Damn... [e digicons]:([/e] I'd hate to see frogboy leaving this community. I can't think of any other company where the CEO comes to the forums as often as you did Frogboy. But I see your point though. People always complain. And to the guy that said SD support post release was mediocre ... come on man. They're the freaking publishers, but still show this extremely passion and enthusiasm for a game they didn't even create. And even promised new maps an
Feeders, what is that? Is it bad people who's not so experienced yet and "feed" the other team with xp and gold or something? If that's the case, then it's pretty lame to public their names in that manner, just because they aren't as good as you want them to be.
Picture number 4 is just awesome Teseer :D
How can you complain about an ability, when you can't even grasp what it does?
A Snow Level in a mountain setting would be nice, and probably rain in some Jungle. Maybe even a level on the coast and during a thunderstorm, random low power lightning strikes on the map. Damage and stunning for like.2 seconds or something
Good idea. Could actually be very neat, with a mountain based map, since all of the maps already are on this kind of high platform. It would be ideal.
I think gpg has terribly optimized games, i love rain but it would just add to the lag.
In my experience Demigod runs on a really smooth engine. Sure it lags in some games, but that hasn't got anything to do with the graphics. That's connection problems, so I doubt rain will affect the lag at all. It MIGHT be a bit more demanding thats all.
I think rain in games is generally underrated. Especially in RTS games, the lack of environmental effects like rain is lacking in my opinion. I think it would be nice to have a map in Demigod, which introduces rain or possibly other weather effects. It gives some variety, a nice immersion and atmosphere to the game. What do you guys think about this issue?
I was kinda suprised to see the little amount of time you have to use the coupon as well.
Seriously, it could be pretty cool to have some form of turtle-ish demigod. I mean, why not? I wish I could just go out here in Denmark and stumble over such a cute turtle, it's so sweet :) Looking forward to the documentary!
Per this thread, disconnects will be punished with an automatic loss. A legitimate question was asked in this thread that I don't think will get the attention it deserves: What about lag-quits? I have a few dc's on my record because when a skirmish/custom game starts up and the lag is unbearable, I lead the way to the next game. As a grad student I just don't have time to deal with games running at quarter speed or frustrating start-st
haha awesome :D
I also tried a 5v5 game yesterday. The beta patch seems to work wonders for me at least. Before I could only connect to a few people, and then I got the "failed to connect to:..." and naturally was booted. I havent played for 2 weeks I think, since yesterday. Because I didn't wanna waste time, trying to get into games, which properly could succeed in 1 out of 10 tries. Anyway with this new beta patch it seems to work, gonna try with a few more games tomorrow. Th
Ok, Im comfused. This beta patch, how do u get it? Right now my Demigod version is 1.00.070 That isn't the beta right?
Same here. Sometimes it freezes without an error message though. Can someone from stardock please take a look at this.
Looking forward to try this update, hope it works.
Isn't it unreal tournmaent-like sounds, and not quake? Or did UT steal them form quake?
Hmm, not really sure about this. Are the proxy servers somehow included in this beta build thats going to be released, or are the new build and the proxy servers seperated??
Sounds a bit weird, but maybe it is a mistake, try to contact and lay down the situation for them. On a sidenote though, AFAIK you ALWAYS have to pay the shipping and stuff, when you want a refund for a product.
Well, Brad and the team expects to get them up in days not weeks, as it says in the journal. I'm waiting for them too, and you're completey right, there is almost no legit games on gameranger at all unfortunately.
[e digicons]k1[/e] Great post, looking forward to finally play multiplayer witohut any connection issues.
Lol, it seems people just keep buying the sims :) But good to see demigod on the list
You just need to speak their language. Avast Mateys. Heave to and harken to this dire missive. Hidden booty would be better spent upon a true copy of Demigod when next ye be in port. Amnesty granted for those grizzled sea dogs who heed this warning else cursed ye be. Forever shall ye dance the hornpipe in Hades with a glowing hot spike up ye jacksie should ye fail to cross Frogboy's palm with silver. A gold doubloon
As other have asked, what about the proxy servers and the fix for the DSL stuff? And the new NAT facilitator you were talking about, how's it going with that? Is it all included in some way, in the public beta version on wednesday?
