You know that Gamestop is selling the game now, and the single-player is playable atleast now, right? Overall, it sounds like you have a bad disc on your version that is resulting in an installation error.

I work at Gamestop, and we never had a Street-Date in our system at all, and our Store-Wide Online Site showed its Release Date moved to the 10th, Ship date of the 9th, but no SD attached to it. So, it most likely is a nation-wide effect that this is selling now.
