No idea if you have played it but despite them being obviously very different types of games I am getting some 'Banished' vibes from this, I think it is the resources, professions along with the seasons and survivalism aspects. The tribe traits also remind me of Crusader Kings 2 as well (easily one of my favorite games). Having only heard of it vaguely before now I have to say the game looks really nice and the music is fantastic. I will certainly be keepin

Picked this up for myself today, have put two hours into it so far and I am rather impressed. It is tackling a lot of stuff in a pretty different way to what most 4X games do which is rather refreshing.

Not going to lie Brad...I have certainly read a lot of shit about you in the past on various sites. However I have always based my own view of you (or at least your online presence) on what I have seen you actually post and your interaction with the community which has always been stellar. The reason I originally set up this account was because I had an issue with an impulse download back in '08, you sorted out my issue near enough instantly and kept me informed. So
Sounds very interesting...also like how this sounds like it is complementing steam/other services rather than being a competitor. Could lead to some very interesting developments in terms of content being shared between client games.
^^ I think it is sent out manually due to the nature of the NDA and everything...you may just have to wait a little longer (or you might get lucky if support reads this).
I believe I saw that Mondays are when they generally send out emails. Yes to private forums, but no to access to it without your email.
Pick up the Founder's Elite yesterday...now just hoping that they release some new keys :)
I often feel like the most important question when looking at specs is what sort of games are you playing (or want to be playing) on your PC? I have to admit I do fairly frequent upgrades, I do not own any consoles so my PC is my sole 'gaming device'. I also play pretty demanding games overall and like to bump up the settings a lot (the Total War games and some of the newer next-gen ports are hitting stuff like VRAM pretty hard) <spa
With the Gal Civ III alpha I know this has been an issue with people who do not have a 64-bit operating system. This is running on nitrous which supports just 64-bit platforms with DX11/mantle . If you definitely have a 64-bit OS then as AlphaSite says you could try verifying the game cache in the game options.
Sooo...anyone who has backed willing (or allowed) to say what this is? Really need to get round to picking this up but my funds are really tight, if it is something playable (?? [e digicons]^_^[/e] ) then I may have to dig deep into the piggy bank as it sounds awesome (or easily promising enough in concept to make testing interesting [e digicons]|-)[/e] ).
We don't have a great deal to go on at the moment. I would thoroughly recommend having a read over the rules and the gameplay description that has been released though if you haven't already: http://www.mohawkgames.com/2014/06/16/offworld-rules/ https://www.offworldgame.com/game That is pretty much everything we know
Is the dev stream still scheduled to happen at some point? [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Ok...I have had a read though this a couple of times. I think it is an incredibly interesting rule set and I am looking forward to seeing how a game plays out and giving it a try myself. It does indeed have incredibly strong board game vibe to it. Things that I really like / especially stood out to me: -Sta
Just giving this a listen myself now. Podcast features a discussion on the balance between combat and building in RTS games and some info about Offworld Trading Company from Soren Johnson . https://www.idlethumbs.net/3ma/episodes/building-vs-battle &nbs
Still checking these forums pretty much daily, can't wait to see some gameplay. Hope development is going well [e digicons]^_^[/e]
(Player A buys out players B & C. Player D buys out players E & F.)
Kind of getting some 'Monopoly' vibes from this. I totally agree that the last thing you want is the first player out of a game having to wait a very long time for it to end with nothing to do. Have you thought about adding any 'mini-game' style systems to keep these players occupied? Maybe some sort of sp
Hi, have had a good read through some of the articles and FAQ's posted around. I hope you do not mind the posting of some questions/ramblings... - I am getting the impression that the game has a heavy multiplayer focus? What (is anything) stops players from banding together to knock out people early on? Will there be team games like 2v2,4v4 where you perhaps act as a subsidiary/board members of an overall corpo
Where may I find screenshots, concept art and/or a teaser trailer? Seems premature to ask for pre-orders when the website is lacking media of any kind.
The developer blog linked in the initial post mentions that some dev streams of internal games will be starting in a few weeks, I also wish there was a bit more out there at the moment but am rather looking forward to seeing more.
