Received EXCELLENT service from Belkin after buying one of their routers after going DSL....talked to a tech because I wanted to use their firewall instead of the one WindowsXp gives you...the guy talked me through each step & took alot of time for the set-up with me - was real courteous - sorry this happened to you since I've had good luck with Belkin products! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Sad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm

Would like to thank all the sponsors & Apocalypse_67 for all the update info! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!
Going to stick with Nvidia I guess since I'm still AGP & have an Nforce2 chipset on my MB - I've heard & read alot of good things about ATI however....wish i could have BOTH cards on one system! 5 STARS for both companies!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif"
THX TONS Mr. Eroticus Prime....I really appreciate the feedback & info!!!
This is a question for anyone who is kind enough to answer it: I've been struggling to make-up my mind about buying an ATI X850XT PE AGP video card OR an Nvidia 6800Ultra AGP which has Shader Model included. The ATI card doesn't seem to come with ANY Shader Model features whatsoever!! I have to stay with the older AGP bus because of my motherboard. I guess my question is: will DirectX 10 work with the older AGP graphics c
Brad, Just hope the 3D/Customization features are there.....can't live without SDC & all it's great apps!!! Go VISTA!!!
I don't like the entire idea of this "removing comments", "heavy editing", et al.....the complete change of policies over there seems ominous!!! I agree with xxZeroVirusxx about not making snap decisions, but ALL of this REALLY doesn't sound good regardless - BAD DEALINGS no matter how you put it!!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Sad.gif" border=0 ALIG
I've always liked your "objective" views concerning any OS....you point out the good & not so good aspects! Thx!
I hope that's true BakerStreet - I have my legit copy & don't mind harder security measures - should of happened along time ago! Save your receipts, packaging, licensing - everything!
Lookin' good!!
Great overview Brad!! very interesting & I agree...everyone blames MS for all the security problems, but it's those few that ruin it for everyone! Thx!
Agree with most here....get rid of Norton!! I NEVER could understand why it's rated so highly after all these years - nothing but problems & it really mucks-up your system!!
I've done this & have had no problems so far.....my copy of Windows XP Pro is legitmate & don't mind them asking everytime in the least - I don't like cheaters!!
Hope WinCustomize & DX keep doing what their doing & Yahoo/Konfab keeps on doing what their doing - I'll stick with DX thank you very much!! ROCK-ON BRAD!!!
I too in the minority like the name Vista....with all the negativity & Microsoft bashing that goes on these days I hope the OS has some merit - at least for PC users.
I'm one of the few here who like the name VISTA.....alot better than Longhorn which I never liked!! Hope they work out most of the problems & it's a WINNER!!
Thanks paul for getting back to us in one form or another....the Administrators do a bang-up job here! THX!!
Excellent! Bring it on already!!!! 100 STARS!
Brad, Sorry this happened as I know how close & hard your worked on OS/2.....your ability to "OBJECTIVELY" review & state you opinions about all the OS' out there have really been wonderful. Thx so much! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid
No problem Pat....just keep up the good work! Thx!
I don't mean to hog space here Ka806....your totally right, of course...There's really NOT a GUI/OS I dislike it's just the implication by the software developers that it's simple & easy - opening & minimizing pages IS easy; turning your system on/off IS easy, double clicking on a file or files to open is simple - but getting EVERYTHING out of your system (understanding it FULLY & getting the most out it) takes time patience
I agree with this article completely....I'm certain many users caught on quickly using both Apple & Windows - especally if you've grown up with them at a very early age. My brother-in law gave me my first computer as a Xmas gift in December of 2001...I was taught how to start it, turn it off, & sign-on using a 56K - nothing else! To really get the MOST out of these machines you need some kind of schooling/training. Most of the people at this
Way to go PP...5 Stars+!!!!
Thx so much Apoc.....great outstanding designs at every turn!
