how do i know which is tabbed and which is non-tabbed after downloading? or should I just put everything under non-tabbed?

i've downloaded some bg from wincustomize, unzipped them into OD folder, but i cant use them! when i opened OD settings, the downloaded themes do not appear, they're just blank like this:

im using XP and everytime i try to use bootskin, my windows does not start up correctly and i had to choose "start with last working configuration" or something. so, anyone knows whats my problem and how to fix it?
