I had a similar issue. I only use WindowBlinds and I used to receive the program as a standalone version. I e-mailed Stardock and I was told that with version 7 the only way to get WindowBlinds is by installing Impulse. There is not other way around. As other people in this thread suggest, just disable Impulse. Having a stubborn nature, now I realized the benefits of using Impulse to check for updates for WindowBlinds.
