I seem to be one of the folks who get worse performance with DX12 over DX11, by about 5 to 15%.
Yep, that's currently pretty typical with Nvidia cards. I lost about 10% with a GTX 970 and the benchmark articles released earlier this week (or was it last week?) indicate the same.

How about a discount for those who are already owners and prefer the Steam version? It must be annoying with so many people asking about Steam this and Steam that but it's the one and only platform for a lot of us now and I'd really prefer having all my games in there, not just shortcuts.
I had this idea of maybe adding diminishing return effect to initiative so that in the first rounds of combat it works at full power but as the combat keeps going, it becomes less and less effective and towards the end of a long fight each unit has basically 0 initiative.
Cautiously optimistic. I remember getting my hands on the very first public Elemental beta back in 2009 and thinking how great a game you could build upon this bare-bones cloth map beta. Hopefully FE finally realizes that potential :)
Then your bank is pretty stupid.
I'm not sure stupidity comes into play in an automated process. Stardock issued a new charge, nothing more to it. And now my original question page or two ago comes back into play, why did they use the full game price for their test pre-charge. But I'll leave it at that :)
Yes, if they maintain that hold on your money, then when the charge actually goes through they'll just use that. That's sort of the point of putting a hold on it in the first place.
Well beta started and lo and behold, I got charged again, they didn't use the first charge which still remains. So now I'm stuck with that for a month or two, oh well..
What happened is that Stardock asked for an "authorization". This is to validate the credit card, to make sure the funds are in there. If the card is not charged within a set number of days--this can be from 3 business days to up to two weeks or more--then the authorization is released. A very few banks do not clear authorizations for over a month. In order to clear the authorization, you will have to talk to your bank, or talk to the credit car
You're not supposed to be charged right away... they just check if your credit card is ok and send a pre-charged... nothing has left your credit card... check it in details
Yes the sum of $49.95 still remains "pre-charged" but either way, I'm not able to use that money because it has been deducted from my bank account even if it still remains pre-charged. I don't know if banks elsewhere do it some other way, but here pre-charged m
Wahngrok's interpretation is correct. You are charged when the product is made available to you, regardless the state it is in. The system cannot charge you without giving you anything.
Euhh.. sure about that? I pre-ordered the game last Sunday, the sixth, and I was charged almost right away.
http://www.demigodthegame.com/upgrade/
Ooh, must have missed something then :) Ah well, 15 euros for shipping, guess I'll pass this time. Even paid $45 (5$ extra compared to release price) for the digital version back in December.
Any news on the digital -> retail upgrade options? It's been quite a while since the release and was just wondering if the upgrade option is still being planned.
