Just internet relay chat used for ICO right? How hard would it be to have a bot that moderated to a minor degree? DrGonzo

Akin to Microsoft saying Windows is DRM free but you have to activate explorer. They got a lot of mileage out of saying "DRM Free", and whispering "Only on the CD in the box, everything else that is required to continue to play this game is laced with it"... Disingenous at the very least- liar at the very most. In many ways, this form of DRM is worse than SecurROM and other things like that-- at least you can take those places without them phoning home and requiring internet connections.<br /

The simplest advice I could offer is to avoid NEVERs and ALWAYSes while playing... The variances of planets and opponents are simply too dynamic. You need to build what is required, not what you want. Build orders should probably be avoided... Dr.Gonzo
Now that the custom maps are stored in one single Galaxy Forge folder, I wonder if it might be easier them to fix things so that they will auto-download.
Galaxy Forge folder doesn't seem to work right for me :( ... Someone grab these, I want to play Ruthless 2v2 over ICO :) DrGonzo

Yeah I'm over it. Moving on to people who don't lie to customers. Program phones home. That is DRM. Im not mad about the DRM- Im mad that you lied. DrGonzo

Lie: -tell an untruth; pretend with intent to deceive; -a statement that deviates from or perverts the truth -no sins drm One can no longer download, install, archive and move the installation without re-activation? This = DRM. You = liar. [e digicons][/e] DrGonzo

Feel free to kill me for my ignorance / stupidity /etc. but couldn't a solution be to remove all build penalties and charge a small fee for strike craft replacement? Just because the Aircraft Carrier cost $20 billion doesn't mean the strike craft didn't cost $20 million, so to say. DrGonzo
assuming you have sins 1.16/entrenchment 1.02, the galaxy forge maps NEED to be placed here for xp
Mine don't work when placed here- sometimes they show up under galaxy forge maps, sometimes they don't. But they show up 100% if copied to the Sins "Galaxy" directory and the Entrenchment galaxy manifest modified. Im on xpX64... maybe that has something to do with it... But the Galaxy Forge folder is hit or miss. I made a map pack that has a scipted installe
ships try to turn by going forward first
Then perhaps a better nerf would be to allow the Capital ships to turn without moving forward, I see why this is prohibitive with ocean going capital ships, but I don't see any reason why the crew of a Capital Ship in space could not use asymmetric thrust to pivot the ship in space... I think most of them have more than one engine ;) DrGonzo

Who has all the win, loss and percentage data to possibly make adjustments of this sort? It takes a lot of observation to make necessary balance changes... Im not saying no one's observing, Im just curious how they decide what gets nerfed... Anyone want to fill me in on what the processs is for deciding this? DrGonzo

I'd personally like to see a little more variety in the existing planets, especially gas giants [they all look like Jupiter :(]. The gas giants should also be significantly larger. I'd also like to see the sun surface view range decreased a whole lot so that you have to be in the gravity well of the sun essentially to see the surface of it... Otherwise just bloom light, would look better. Stars look kind of like large molten planets when you zoom in, they lose their shine. An ability to terra
