Can't change class, apparantly. in Space Rangers 2 Stardock Forums

When I start the game, I try to choose Mercenary as my class... but no matter WHAT class I try to choose (and I tried all of them) it always sticks me as a fighter. Any help?

Whenever I start a new game, no matter what class I pick (I've been picking Mercenary), it sticks me as a fighter... what am I doing wrong? Anyone else had this issue?
