players who dont want to see...civilization be forced to train a bunch of entertainers, and the like, in order to make their civilization work.
Precisely. Building an entertainment district should never create more manufacturing or research than either of those respective buildings. In this case it would do both.
Research and Manufacturing are now knee-capped by approval. I.e. a 55% approval means your research on a planet is adjusted to 0.55 of what it would have been. (lots of rebalancing to deal with this incoming).
I am not a fan of this idea. Making one trait override other traits dilutes a lot of character from the game. Take the Drengin for example. I should be able to make cruel choices and make people miserable, but still be able to squeeze
I started a new game as Drath and now I too have only "Name" for each of the 4 factions. My previous games on .70 were as Baratak Grove and Corporate Sector, and they were able to assign leaders to factions, but I didn't check for that on the very first move. So maybe something is unlocking them?
I just deleted the GalCiv4 folder in my documents and now I have Factions turn 1. Something in the legacy game dat
If you do not have the Drones, i.e. you have not built enough of them yet, then you can not expend them to enable/unlock the project, and you have to chose a different Tech Project. Once you have enough Drones built (some projects require multiple Drones, I think that I have seen one requiring 5 Drones, I have done Asteroid Factories which requires 2 Drones), then you can tell it yes to expend and unlock the project, or no
twice I have been stuck in the research menu and the done button does nothing and esc stopped working. So I had to Ctrl alt del.
This happened to me too. The problem was a confirmation pop-up. I think it was asking if I wanted to spend drones to do the research. I forget how I was able to get around it. Perhaps, pick a different tech that did not require drones. After I was abl

I am playing on Win 11. I have stability issues with Win 11 in general. For some builds of GalCiv4 it was crashing every few turns. Overall things have been getting more stable for both. It has gone from multiply times per day to once every few days.
