I'm pretty new here, but I've got a very simple solution. Simply take down the little blurb on the DesktopX product page that says DesktopX 3.5 arrives this month. It's here.. [link="https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/"]DesktopX Page[/link] Something to remember is that most of us lurkers, new people, non-skinners, non-programmers...non-whatever, have no clue what is going on behind the scenes at Stardock. You guys could be hanging around drinking beer and picking

leaves you a hug from Arizona I'm sorry to hear about your loss. You've got a place in my thoughts and prayers too.
Sorry.. MSN Live Messenger. It's not a big deal to me, was just curious if it was supposed to be skinned or not. It's never done it since I first installed WB. This would be the only glitch that's come up with my system to date with the whole Object Desktop and for that I'm pretty happy. I'm using Windows Live Messenger build 8.1.0178.00 with both MSN Plus and the mess patch. Windowblinds is as follows. WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.02 (build 43 x
Is WB supposed to skin MSN? I'm just curious since it's about the only thing I have that doesn't skin by default.
I downloaded and installed it.. Sweet! I can't even tell ya how long I've wanted to be able to do that. Thanks DarkSpooky for asking and Bebi Bulma for recommending the Shuffler.
I read this and had to smile. Made me think about how my day had gone. It was a good day. I spent the better part of it with my writing partner writing on a sappy but thoroughly enjoyable romance. I moved a 90lb tv moved from one stand to another, mostly by myself. Yay me! A tiny excerpt just cause the last line makes me laugh and I wrote it! "That was great," she said, grinning. He glanced back at her and grinned. "You'll be
Ohhh... Nice! I'm going to have to check this out to. I'm always wishing I could move things around. Is there nothing we don't customize? :D
/me listens to things not mentioned at all.. :D A personal mix containing Anastacia, Nelly Furtado and Cruxshadows.
Buy - You pay a one time fee and get a warranty. Get a decent brand that doesn't go belly up in a year. A good Motorola or D-Link should cost about $65. Look about and you're sure to find a sale. Talk to your cable techs and find out what brands they recommend and what is best suited to work with your particular service and go from there. The tech I talked to at my service recommended a particular Motorola Surfboard. I bought it and have had no trouble for the last year and a half. <br/
Oh man.. You guys are nuts.. but in a good way. I think. The cellophane has me worried. Po, these icons are great! Thank you very much!
I'll chip in with an agreement on it being just one of those things with an LCD monitor. Mine does the same thing, gradually gets darker near the top. You do get used to it after a while. It becomes normal. Just remember when you are creating graphics to keep them about middle of the screen. Try looking at your screen from different heights. You'll have true color at whatever point on the screen is direct line of sight. As Mindless Puppet said, take a screenshot and have a good look.
The wolf looks great! Thanks Po!
I've a couple objectdock icon requests for whoever has the time and inclination.. For the game The Witcher (Geralt's Face) A full moon. A Wolf's face. A pirate ship. Thanks in advance to anyone that gives these a shot.
I have to say that all this is rather confusing and mind boggling for a new subscriber. I just barely bought OD so I don't have to worry about renwing for quite a long time. And by then I might have given Vista a try. Doubtful, but it's possible. I'm quite happy with XP and from experience through the years, I know it'll be at least a year before I'm ready to touch Vista with a ten foot pole, mine or anyone else's. It's simply not worth the hassle, the bugs, the incompatibilities, having to prob
There's nothing to forgive the1guru.. :) What you put up is most definitely helpful and informative. I was simply confused by all the steps to change ONE pic.. Makes a whole lot more sense when you're thinking about changing all those ugly default pics. I wasn't displeased.. just confused. Don't think most of us would think right off about changing them all. I haven't, but it sure is a good idea. Could have a different pic for each WB you like to use. Hmmm... goes
Well.. I have to ask.. Why go to all this trouble? I don't know about Vista, but in XP it's very simple to change the user pic at logon/on the start menu. Go to Control Panel Click on User Accounts Choose the account to change Choose Change my Picture Browse for new pic. I've never had to change the format or size of a pic to use it before. *scratches head again* Are we talking about the same thing??
*reads this and scratches head* This for XP?
I bought myself Object Desktop and 2 gigs of RAM. And I got a gorgeous furry lambskin rug.. that I put on my bed. Nothing like sleeping on a fur.
Congrats! I've got a 19" Viewsonic LCD too and I love it. Great color and clarity on it.
Happy Birthday!
Pitch Black "How's it look?" "Looks clear." (alien monster flies over just above heads) "I thought you said it was clear!" "I said... it looks clear." "Well, how's it look now?" "Looks clear."
Mine are to get back into graphics creation and well, just get back into life in general. Quitting smoking would be nice too...but I'm realistic.
Since I've only been here a few days, I can't really say much about the last year. There have been many firsts, just not in the skinning department. I suppose the real first is that I gave myself Object Desktop for Christmas and have been enjoying playing with my new 'toy'. I love it so far. I'm still trying to figure out everything but am having a great time of it. I'm interested in the creative side of things but it's a little overwhelming at this early stage. I'm not a gr
