When you select a research field in the research tree I've found they often move positions. The one you select changes positions with another. If you double click you select the wrong tech to research. Selecting the tech in its new position (2nd position) works just fine with no movement.

I found this bug kind of amusing. I lost a game by sovereign death and got the game over you lose screen. Went back to main menu, selected skirmish and started a new game. Rather than creating world or anything all I could get was the game over flag screen with no option to return to menu or anything. Nothing was on the screen but "you lose". So I guess I really lost eh?

Figured out the problem. I turned off all the 3D related settings in the video tab. Game works like a charm now. So apparently even on the cloth map the 3D engine was using up a ton of resources in the background doing who knows what. Enjoying exploring the new tech trees now that I can dvance enough turns to unlock them.

I don't have to create a new city to have this problem. Seems to occur whenever I go back in to add new buildings after already having a build queue. IN the picture you should see that I should have two available build spots next to the two huts by the farm. However I only have the option to demolish buildings. <img src="file:///C:/DOCUME~1/David/LOCALS~1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg" alt="" /

Yes, it can overlap the square areas and cut off further development. I was also able to build one into a forest area as an overlap. So two areas opened up showing as developable but I could not place huts or anything as those areas were in a forested area. I alt-tabbed before getting a picture of it and alt-tabbing caused the forest and the buildings to disappear from the map.

I switched from full screen to windowed mode to check on some bugs. I'm noticing right now that in windowed mode the game is playing horrendously slower. Not sure exactly how to report this or what kind of data you might want. Please respond with anything that could be useful for debugging. dxdiag:

Graphical bug while playing the game in full screen. Tried a new game in windowed mode and bug hasn't been reproduced so far. The lower left the build options are still displayed (in windowed mode they display in lower right) and overlays with text. My first bug for build .25 Started up a new game and rushed into the game. Created a city and went to the technology screen (same first turn). After exiting the GUI was lost to the game. Noticing I hadn't started up my screenshot program I alt-tabbed out and started up Jing. When alt-tabbing back to Elemental the game hung with an all black screen. The Windows toolbar was still at the bottom of the screen so after a minute I right clicked on it but a menu did not come up. I us
Like Fire dmg, Ice dmg, wind dmg? I pretty those are planned. What isn't in the playbook is Piercing damage, Blunt damage, etc. If it's mundane, then it just get's a boring 'ol Attack stat Unless it's enchanted, in which case you get the specified magical bonus.
Example: in arctic terrain, fireballs should have reduced damage and area of effect, but ice magic should do more damage. Or in arid terrain, foliage could catch fire and deal damage over time to units in the area. This adds an element of strategy to where you choose to engage the enemy. Some good ideas I really like here. I really would like to see a morale system where leadership can matter. Bad morale can make your units automatically fall back when you want them to move up (they still fight but aren't brave enough to get closer), become inactive and will only defend (paralyzed in fear), or just plain broken and the unit scatters to the wind. Veteran units could have better morale. Green units can be dangerous to field because they might suddenly "

Judging by the lack of dev posts or journal entries this week I'd say they're very hard at work. I'm willing to bet that they're hard at work and determined so that we will see a patch tomorrow for sure.

I'll be modding races ASAP. Just human/fallen is too boring. I won't be doing art assets (because I lack the skills) but I intend to have some fae/elven races available. I particularly want to do something very "fair folk" like an aggressive militant civilization with life magic.
