I have been playing the latest version and I think Star Bases should able to increase hitpoints or build bigger bases. I think the ideal is to add a few hitpoints with ever add-on to your base as you upgrade.each add-on is like adding mass to a station and that would be hit points.
When I was in turn 320 and needed to make a special ship. I went to the Ship Designer to create a new ship and the game crashed( stopped responding) . Once I saw that my memory was maxed out . I tried restarting my computer and reloading but the same thing happened again in the ship designer. Now for the record I have 32 GB of ram so I was surprised when this happened.
