Just wanted to mention something quickly. When I first downloaded the game I couldn't even play because the game kept on freezeing on me after a few minutes no matter what I was doing (sandbox, campaign, or editors). After the last couple of patches, I have finally been able to play without freezes. Last night I played for hours without crashes. It was one of those sessions where you just keep taking another turn and before you know it it's 5AM. While there are still issues, I am now

Just wondering if someone who is a bit computer savvy (which I am not unfortunately) could point me in the right direction. The game freezes on me after a few minutes making it unplayable. Sent in the debug report and Brad said if I update my drivers I'd probably be ok. Like I said though I'm pretty computer un-savvy (don't really even know what a driver is hehe). I was wondering if there is anyone with the same comp as me that could tell me what the latest/best? driver is and where I can gra

Ah thx for the quick reply. Thing is I'm pretty computer idiotic. Can anybody from the community give me a quick run down on how I go about updateing a driver (whatever that is). Forgive my incompetence [e digicons][/e]

Downloaded game on Sunday and the game froze after a few minutes no matter what I did (playing sandbox, campaign or checking out the editors). Had to CTRL-ALT-DEL out. Same thing with the subsequent patch (1.01). Decided to wait until day 0 patch to see if the situation would change. Installed day 0 patch (1.05) and It's the same. The game starts fine but after a few minutes it simply freezes. Haven't been able to play for more than a few minutes. Freeze doesn't seem to happen afte
I know people have been ragging over stupid things lately. I understand your annoyance and frustration with their petty comments. I just wanted to create a small thread to thank you for your work and I am excited to hold my copy of Elemental in my hands in a few short weeks.
here here [e digicons][/e]

I haven't been involved in the beta process because I want to be "surprised" by the final product but the closer to release date the more exited I have become. I have been waiting for a TBS game in the fantasy realm for a long time now. I am looking forward to the Aug. 24th release date with great anticipation. Thanks for all the effort Stardock :)

The editors are one of the main reasons why I'm looking forward to this game. I'm just wondering why no scenario/Campaign editor. There were scenario/campaign editors in GCII and this type of game seems to be the exact type that you would want to be able to create multi-scenario campaigns for over many types/sizes of maps. Looking forward to the release [e digicons][/e]

I have been looking for a turn based strategy game with a classic fantasy theme for awhile (preferably a hex-grid system like the old panzer general series), and am looking forward to Elemental when they finally finish it (hopefully it turns out to be a home-run). I was lookimg through the Civ forums the other day and discovered a link to a game called Battle for Wesnoth. It's pretty much exactly the kind of thing I was looking for and it's FREE. It has ability to play multi-pla

Just a quick question. I've been trying to create a trade good in the improvements editor (25% interest rate improvement) and things seemed to be fine until I actually build the thing on my planet. When I do the game crashes. Anyone else have this happen to them and if so were you able to find out why and fix it? Just wondering. Have a good day all :)

Agree/second the following: - Module stacking for constructors On the civilization manager - Colony management screen: - Add a button to be able to switch focus for all your planets instead of having to do them all individually - Add a button to be able to buy ships or improvements with just one click (as per AG3's suggestion). It saves clicks when you play on big maps with alot of planets. - If you scroll down, keep the planet list scro

Anybody having trouble starting up the demo for armoured princess? I downloaded it and can get to the screen where you choose warrior/paladin/mage ect. but when I press next it gets stuck on the next screen. It also gets stuck when I go to options screen to change anything. I was thinking of buying the full version but if the demo doesn't work for me then I figure the full version will be messed up as well. Anybody else have this issue with the demo and if so, did anythin

You have to research bigger faster engines. In TA if you're playing the Altarians for example, you have to research New propulsion techniques - Ion drive - Impulse Drive ect.... in order to get bigger, faster engines. I believe that the Arceans are a bit different but I haven't really played them yet. Once you've researched the new engines you can place them on new ship designs for a faster fleet.
