While I believe in gun rights too, that has nothing any vaguely to do with this topic. That rant indicates that you're the type of person I tend to avoid.

It IS true that Jefferson's political party evolved into the modern Democratic Party. It changed names a few times, but is the exact same party. And while the Republican party has only existed since just before the Civil War, it was the heir to the Whig party, which was the heir to the Federalist Party. (if I remember the name properly) So that leaves Washington as the only one who can't easily be assigned a party, but his views were in line with the Federalists at the time an
RAM is not somethings that deleting things will free up. You either have it or you don't. To find out how much, go to Control Panel and open up "Sytem." Look under the general tab, which is probably what will already be up, and the amount of RAM you have should be somewhere on the bottom.
I have the exact same issue. In my case, I'm not even using the integrated card--I have a much newer one installed, but the tiny, insignificant amount of RAM it uses is still causing fits. I personally don't think you should keep people who don't meet the requirement from installing the game, just give a warning. I have playing many games that exceeded the minimum requirements, in one case, I have half the RAM required, without any problems, or even significant slowdown whatsoever. If people
I didn't say he said that, I (and everyone else) said that. It's obvious that they engine doesn't make that possible, hence you'd need the source code and you'd also need to heavily re-write the game. Basically you'd have to make a whole new game using a few things from the engine. That's the only way it could be done. Please take the word of everyone here who knows what we're talking about. Let me say this one more time so you can understand this. I'll try to be simple, since you
I don't see what the problem is either, although I suppose another option doesn't hurt. I, for one, rather enjoy exploiting the ability to trade something I traded for. If you act quickly, you can often turn one tech no one else has into a huge leap in technology, plus a bunch of spare cash.
There's no point in Brad's answering this thread. He's already done so in multiple other places. It's not possible to "give us the tools." He'd have to give us the source code and someone would have to re-write most of the game. There are so many reasons that either one won't happen that it's near ridiculous. If it's been done for other games, it's simply because the engine of the other games made it possible. This game has no such capability. Give up on making GalCiv2 mul
A little late, since I've known about it for weeks, but still pretty nifty. The Civ 4 engine is a good way to give it a much-needed update and make it a modern game. I'm hoping they'll try something similar with Alpha Centauri next, especially if this update sells well.
I know nothing about programming. Someone else please provide the technical argument explaining why programming a mod like this would be very simple if we had the proper tools.
I find this incredibly amusing. You know nothing about programing, and therefore have no idea how easy or hard this would actually be, then assume that it much be very simple, for no apparent reason, and ask someone else to prove what you've assumed to be true. I'm no real programmer eith
I would suggest that research inflation, in a slightly adjusted form, be added as an option, perhaps as part of the research speed option. So after slow, you have inflationary. Since we have people here who like it both ways, why not let them choose which way to go?
Yeah, well, millions of people go on thier own little nutty rampages and almost all of them get ignored. He would be by now, the media certainly is ignoring him, but folks like you just won't let anyone forget about him. Thus creating the very problem you are upset about. I mean there are nuts who has tried to crusade against just about everything and nobody gives them any publicity.
Okay. Has it occurred to you that wishing death and violence on anyone is just plain wrong. If anything, you are just helping to make his point by acting this way. Now I too find some games disgusting and am astonished that people have such a low sense of morality to play them, especially GTA. That being said, I have nothing to do with this guy, who is clearly not a gamer and know nothing about what he is talking about. Personally, I don't know what anyone still listens to him or e
You should also note that sometimes planets with only 1 or 2 PQ have a huge number of convertable squares. With time such planets can become VERY useful. Such things are all parts of the strategy as you can go either way.

When things change, people, often those who refuse to change and can't seem to imagine any way but the old one, start saying that such and such is dying. There are several areas all doing that right now, movie, music distribution, and PC games among others, and the companies behind all are refusing to change while crying about their businesses dying. Meanwhile, fresh new companies are making plenty of money by ignoring the old ways and adapting to the times. It's the way it's always b
Details like that are only provided by game manuals in a very small perentage of games. Usually, fan made resources are where you have to find such information. I also doubt there are very many who super analyze everything like that, and I definitely think it unreasonable for you to expect Stardock to make their game and game manuals just to suit your own unique style of playing. If this is really a bother, then do what the Heroes of Might and Magic V people did and put together a det
Don't forget too, the Firaxis has a whole team of people to work on these things. Gathering from a post by one of the developers recently, Stardock, as least for the Vanilla GalCiv II had like 6 people. And it still beats the pants of everything not made by Sid or the old Microprose. And while some games do come with nice detailed manuals (which I do appreciate) many other strategy games don't. Don't fault Stardock for not throwing in expensive and time-consuming extras that many big
Well, not all games do that. Sorry, but it isn't a required or a standard practice, even if it would be nice.
Actually, SG-1 was still plenty popular when it ended. It's better financially for a show to end when it's still popular right before it ends up not being popular. Eureka is actually one of their most popular shows right now. I think it beat SG-A right now and will have a 3rd season. The new Amanda Tapping series is not really a new series at all. It's called Sanctuary, and it premiered as the first regular professional tv series totally online. Sci decided to pick it up.
Sounds to me like they released the game before the manual for it was done. Hardly the same thing. Personally, I'd rather have the game first and wait for the manual rather than have them delay the game just for the manual.
While the weekend movies may not be exactly award winners, it doesn't really matter if anyone likes them or not. Scifi makes millions on them. They are cheep and easy to mass produce, so it takes a rather small audience to make a profit on them. Hence the reason they make them.

Just assume that the upgrades you mention as solving those problems as what the extreme tech represent for the Yor. Besides, those kinds of upgrades are not nearly so simple as you seem to think. As a matter of fact, they would tend to be very costly, resource-intensive endeavors.
Great analysis, which pretty much sums it up.
He just stated that he had never registered it.
