I like to play games to see the ideas. One of my favourite games of all time is Republic: The Revolution. I have spent about 100 hours playing it. I would probably objectively rate it 5/10. I want to see what these guys have come up with and I am that crazy I will pay for it now and if its unplayable but has promise I will just wait for subsequent versions (ie. later betas, retail).

But people don't only want to play the beta to provide feedback. Some people have only bought the game early so they can play the beta. I would have bought it last night if not for this thread letting me know I wouldn't be able to play it. It seems to be a smart move for Stardock to get people in my boat to buy it now as negative reviews of the retail product may discourage us from a purchase.
Stardock here is your chance to not be like other developers...
To increase realism there should very rarely be a colonisable planet. How often do these happen in the real universe? Very rarely. To make it more realistic it should be rare that even on a large map there is one colonisable planet besides each players' home planet.
