There are three professions that have always intrigued me. Whenever I meet someone who does these jobs or when I read about them it always causes me to pause and put myself into their position.
My Views and Muse
yeah, living and working here (fort worth area) takes some getting used too that is for sure. When I moved here from the midwest back in the 90's I thought I was going to die.
Congrats! So, what type of book is Silent Thunder? Fiction, sci fi, military, etc?
It has been a LOOOONNNNG time since I perused through joeuser. What I have noticed is that Dr Guy and Gedeon M. have no recent postings. I mean in something like 4-6 months there has not been a peep. These two, along with others, were constant and consistent posters not too long ago. And what is weird is that they are still in the top 3 leading users? Anyone have any idea were these peeps have gone?
yeah, now the iphone is almost equal to features offered by typical PDA phones.
I love audiobooks, I blogged about this last year: http://viewsandmuse.joeuser.com/article/314685/I_love_Audiobooks Having said that, I have to admit that for large books I frequently have both the print version and he audio version. A good example is Peter Hamilton's sci-fi Pandora's Star series in which I had both audio/print versions. My current book is book two of the 'Revelation Space series
I have no problem with education, that was not the point.
Is it possible to roll back to 1.13 after having upgraded to 1.14? I wish I would not have updated. I was in the middle of my first game and while the game AI seems to very weak (subject for another thread) I was at least learning things. Now since updating I cannot load the saved games, play back anything recorded (mine or otherwise) which makes we wonder why that feature is even there if it is never going to work properly. In 1.13 some recorded games

I missed the drama as well. However, even though she is gone you can dig in archives and see her previous articles. To the other comment about Brad not having tolerance I am not sure what that means. I see heated debates a plenty around her.
Archon, MULE, Seven Cities of Gold, Starflight, and Summer Games Ahhhhhhhhh, the memories! I had everyone of these gems on my C64. Awesome games they were. As for Impulse vs. Steam, Impulse (and Stardock for that matter) are tops.
yes, I am aware of some error in my writing. I am running IE8 RC1 to test within my company and I cannot do the edit function on JoeUser
[e digicons]x_x[/e]
I don't see the problem. Are millions of little political wannabes going to start smoking because Obama does? Let's just say they do. Is it Obama's fault? People need to stop palming off their personal choices and responsibilities on something so ridiculous as "well, I saw a famous person do it." They might as well say "I'm an idiot that can't think for myself and I'm totally at the mercy of whatever m
I have been a long time GalCiv customer and love the game greatly. I do not get to play it as often as I would like but anytime I have a few free moments I play a few turns. I recently bought (last week) Sins of a Solar Empire via impulse. I know I am almost a 1 year late in coming to the party but when it came out I was still deep into GalCiv love and I had a hard time dealing with the fact that it was not enough like Homeworld. But all of that is water unde
MMO - BOOOOOO!!!!!
There was a lot of concern about Obama and his lack of experience on the international and national fronts. Now it seems his lack of experience in the political realm is showing as well: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090203/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obama_reform_promises_2 It will be fun to watch Obama this year.
I just bought SofSE via impulse (downloading now!). It mentioned (and I have seen posts about) the music CD and PDF's being available for download. Does anyone know where I can find them? Thanks
This was reported earlier. They are aware of it and have fixed it for the next patch. I saw a post by Brad somewhere else that mentioned that a patch is coming this week I think.
CariElf, thanks! You guys are simply the best game company out there.
This one seems real simple. By the way, the other post was correct, if I have less opponents so that horizontal scrolling is not required then I can successfully select the remove button that is in the race wide section. I love this game series and like how well it is supported.
Although it should be noted that I can remove racewide spies when there is no page to turn.
Good observation, looks like we found a bug.
i was wondering that. But then why have the remove button there within the race-wide spies section?
I have several spies placed race-wide against others. I want to remove one so that I can use it to remove a foreign spy on one of my planets. When I press the remove button on the race-wide races, it does not remove it, instead it just pages/slides over to expose the remaining races. Thanks
That in itself is telling. No reflection on your Dad but what that statement says to me is that, as a society we are saying we are powerless over our own destiny.
No offense taken. Your right, nothing makes you do anything. One of the other things he use to repeat at me was "just because you can do something does not mean you should".
In watching the meltdown of the financial markets and the turmoil it is causing worldwide I see the blame game starting up. It's the Democrats fault because of the Community Reinvestment Act and the Clinton administration expansion of that ideology in the late 1990's. No wait, it is the Republicans fault because they dismantled all the regulation that was in place to prevent
