By selecting the 2nd option you are adding it to an exception list which windows will not enable DEP for this program. By the way since doing this. I have completed one full game on huge took me forever but ended with a diplomatic victory it was over 200 turns, not a single crash. Before doing this I crashed about 7 times before I gave up and went looking in the Event Viewer for the cause. <a href="http://www.vist

I've only owned Fallen Enchantress Legendary Heroes for a couple days now, but I was having consistent crashes or application not responding. I read up on the forums and many others were having a so called Memory Leak problem. I thought I may be experiencing the same thing. I then went into Windows Event Viewer, Windows Logs / Application and found the following error. (windows 7 64bit) Fault bucket 3809825882, type 5 Event Name: BEX Respo
I was getting this too until I turned off Auto-archive on application update. Then it downloaded correctly - Shabitz
I've downloaded the latest build and for a while I wasn't getting the out of memory errors, but now I seem to be getting them again:( What are your specs and game settings? Are you using a program to monitor your RAM use? If so, which one? Just curious Shabitz. Beside

I played last night with the beta 5 , for about half the night, 4 hours or so, and I never crashed out or had the out of memory error.
I ran last night with the beta 4 client and got another out of memory problem with the save , so I installed the beta 5 and I never got the memory error or crashed out for the rest of the night. I'm happy!
Last night I ran with 3 changes that I made, the windows manage page file and I turned throttle framerate off in the video options and turned down the planet surface variety slider to 0% . I no longer crash out randomly but I still get the out of memory error when doing a save. I've aslo changed my saves to save every 1 turn. This is kinda annoying because it seems to slow everything down a bit. But now I don't go back 45 minutes after a crash. One thing I did notice when I got the out
Well I made a few changes last night and never got a crash due to out of memory last night. However, I did get a couple of new ones which were crashes to desktop. So it's possible the crash to desktop just never allowed me to reach max ram. So the problem could still be there. I searched some other threads and found that someone had stopped their problems by changing the Page file to let windows manage it. But I had also moved the planet slider down to 50%. OH ya also I had defragged my hard dri

Generally this is a fault in the video driver, or possibly an overheating video card. You already have the newest drivers, so at least it's not an old driver problem. Do you have 'Throttle Framerate' checked in the Video Options screen? Yes I do have Thro

How often do you guys have the saves set to? My auto saves were set to the default 12 turns. But last night I was on a gigantic map, and when it crashed I looked at the time of the last save and it was almost an hour of play lost. I've since changed it down to 9 turns but not sure that's going to help at all. Also I tried the above by downloading the new heightmap and turn down the planet surface variety sl
I crashed out 4 different times tonight due to out of memory. I have 2 gigs of ram, it would usually happen when I tried to do a save of any kind, after playing for a couple hours. I notice when I first launch the game the memory footprint is about 900k in size and it grows to as much as 1.7 gigs of ram along with a 1.8 gig page file.
