Here are some ways to help stop spam. 1. Do not repeat DO NOT ask to be off their list. That just lets most spammers know they have a live person at that address. 2. Do not give out your email address when you sign up for things. What works well is to have one spam address and one real one. For when you register freeware or enter a contest use the spam addy. They had the King Arthour(sp) and the Knights of the Round Table. Beyound that, I don't remember. I do know there was an issue of Dragon Magazine that listed stats for many famous characters like: John Carter of Mars Gandalf Aragorn There were about 50 some characters listed. I thought it was way off though. They did things like made Gandalf a 9th level magic-user.

I like OD for the extras like icon packager, objectzip, and drivescan. They are not something I use everyday, but drivescan in particular can be wonderful if you have a small hard drive. me/ has a 6gig hard drive.

Good-Bye to the bassist for the Who. I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert about 10 years ago. He was amazing. Saddly the rock stations are ignoring his passing. The local NPR station is doing a huge tribute today. Probably the only bassist that could keep up with Keith Moon.

Calendar in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

What I want is a calendar that sits on the desktop. I would like to be able to use it as a family schedule. I would also like it to list items in the calendar, not just give the days with an item a differant color. I thought a maybe a DesktopX might be able to do it or just an active desktop item. I looked on c-net and didn't feel like going through all 100+ calendar programs.

I saw a recent article about the ads. It said Apple had better be careful or MS is liable to start making their products for the Mac not quite as good as they are on the PC. How far can Apple get without decent support for MS Office? They wouldn't drop them just make them irritating to use on a Mac. BTW: Doesn't MS own about 20% of Apple stock?

I think skinning is rising fast. At the same time I can see trouble for StarDock. In XP Microsoft included many skinning features. Styles doesn't skin as well as WindowBlinds, but it is cheaper. Set a deadline for yourself. Most people do their best work under some pressure. Also, give yourself a reward, "If I get X% done then I can do/have Z." Perhaps you need to do something differant. Find a small project that you keep saying, "I'll get to that someday" and do it. Just make sure it is small and doesn't become the focus of the rest of your day/week.
