WB uses less resources to skin XP than XP does when using Luna. That's cool. How do you know that?

So I DL'd some skins, used WindowBlinds to load them. Okay, did that, skin looked great. However... There was a WindowBlinds icon running in my systray. This leads me to believe that running anything but a non-standard Win XP skin requires a program like WB running in the background? I do a lot of stuff on my machine where I need every ounce of processing power. I want as few apps as possible running in the background. Is there a program like WB that will allow me to install a
