Thanks for the idea. Checked to see if download scans were off, they were. Looked at download link title and it has the words "protected" and "expiretime=(string of numbers)". I wonder if means I can't get them here anymore either. Found a work around for the Gamestop app but it's fairly complicated but I'll try it anyways, LOL. Dummy me should have archived the stinking files long ago. Thanks again. I'm hoping some one from Stardock sees this and offers help or an explanation

I hope I am in the correct place to post this. My HD crashed last weekend and I installed a new one. After all the updates I am slowly reinstalling my software. Unfortunately, I did not archive all my Stardock games and have been attempting to download them off this site due to not being able to get the Gamestop App to work. Wallpapers sorting in WindowBlinds Stardock Forums

I set up a series of pictures to My Pictures folder, checked the My Pictures folder to be used and no others, WB loaded the pics and they are in a mixed order from what they are named. I renamed the pics and reset the dates of them also before letting WB have them. Some of the pics show one thing in the bottom pane of WB but when you highlight that pic another is actually shown in the upper pane for preview. How can I get WB to sort the pics the way I want th

Thanks everyone. I'm going forward with Bebi's solution. My desktop rotation has worked out great with this idea. I want room for my icons on the side and some gadgets on the other. I don't know if I'll keep this long but I just wanted something different from the desktop I' ve had for a few years. Thanks again for all the ideas.

Thanks Bebi. That's what I was looking for. I have not had a current subscription to OD or WB in over a year and couldn't find the settings you showed me. I really didn't want to alter or duplicate pictures with layers and your help is exactly what I needed. I will need to browse aroumd WB a bit more along with all the other great programs in OD and catch up on the updates. Thanks again to all who responded. I'm sorry about the lack of info. I just didn't think of it. Kind of a "duh" moment I quess. I'm running XP and using desktop properties to change the color. It will not stay at black after change. I also am running Windowblinds with an older skin. I will be using WB for the switcher also. I will look into the settings of the skin to see if that will do it. Changing desktop default background color in Personal Computing Stardock Forums

I have some pictures I want to use on my desktop. They are not large enough to fill the screen and I do not want to stretch them. The remainder of my desktop is grey and I want it to be black. Every time I start my computer I have to go into properties and change the color to black for the desktop. How can I set the default color to black? Is there a registry fix/edit I can do? Good morning to all. I have updated the ATI video drivers and all HP updates including the bios and now I find 1982mb of memory anywhere I look. I also found out that my HP updates had been turned off. How and when I do not know but I suspect that is where the problem came from, not getting the bios update. HG_Eliminator thanks for the help. All 3 of the cards I now have, (original 1gb and two new 1gb cards) have been swapped in and out of each slot. All combinations of the 3 cards have been installed also. The results are the same regardless of which card(s) are in which slot(s). 767mb available when a single card is installed and 1791mb when any two cards are installed. Strange stuff indeed, no? BigDogBigFeet, both system properties and dxdiag show 1792mb of memory. So if bios shows the "missing" memory is used by the video that would be a good thing, no? Like I stated originally, everything runs fine, actually even better with the memory upgrade. Thanks mafutnyoas. I am still concerned that the memory size changed all of a sudden. I have had the computer about 3 years now. I try to watch my computer closely. I will look into the changing of the ram used by my card.

Sorry about the lack of info. Here goes: When I had the 1gb card CCleaner, Auslogics Sys Info and any Sysmetric gage I used showed 1020mb of memory available. Then after a boot up one day all of the above showed 768mb memory available. The "matched pair" of 1gb memory cards are what Crucial.com called the units I bought. A few days ago I booted up and my Sysmetric gages show only about 300mb of memory available. I normally have 700mb of my 1gb card available after all my programs are fired up. I looked into my machine specs and sure enough it is showing 768mb of memory available. Everything worked ok and I could not find any oddball programs installed. This led me to (finally) upgrade my memory. After installing a matched pair of 1gb cards, I am still missing 2
