hi Jake, thats strange....I wonder why you cant activate windows again? I always am able to... this is a very weird situation! when I format my drive, im always wipe the current windows completley and start from scratch, then I am prompted to register my windows, and I do. I have the same windows as you. xp home, but mine is 2006. By rights, the activation of windows is your own doing when you install it. its the registration that microsoft want....so why they are not letting you '

sounds wacky like files are missing from somewhere. If this was my pc, I would just reinstall windows......I mean if you have been putting up with this for 6 months, than an extra 40 minutes to format your pc, wont be missed....... then I would seriously consider downloading some updates from windows microsoft (hopefully you have an orginal copy of windows xp home, not a pirate) you only have sp1,

Im extending my skinning abilities to rainlender (and possibly) icons for my skins. okay, with rainlender, im having fun so far, and i have found out about the ini file, but my question is, where do you find the codes and numbers for the font colour, and font style? ive seen in the ini files that font styles are named and Ive noticed that a font file is also included with the skin. the number of a certain colour looks almost too insane to be true...one rainlender i

going on what you said, you might have to play with the margins of the file in skinstudio, when you talk about 'black' is that the colour of the skin? if not, that to me sounds like a png file that dosent have the translucency button checked... so far I am only guessing the problem on what you have said.....I wish I had more info about your question...(pout) ......

I think you refer to the rebar. ( I hope you are !) The rebar default size comes in a reasonable bar shape. But I personally take the picture I intend to use and just cut out a decent size I think will sufice for the job, normally its about 10 times the size of the original rebar size.....but I hate playing with margins..

what grey box are you talking about? I need more info here to try to help you out. I think and presume you are talking about when you open my documents, and perhaps open 'my music, or my pictures.'....are you talking about the grey box that highlights it when you double click? if you are, then in skinstudio explorer you go to miscellanious, colours. Then click on 'selections' (in the right window pane) and you will see HIGHLIGHT TEXT HIGHLIGHT GREY TEXT HOT

thanks jaz.....and thanks daiwa, yes the skin name is there, but no pic, i think i know why its happened, . 9 times out of 10 i change the style of the windowframetop2uis a fair bit before im happy with the final product, and i guess replacing it with the new one changes it to tga in its files..and then i get the noshow thumb pic...thanks for everyones help, i know im a bit insane .......

hi Nav, what is anti-aliasing? ... I still have no thumbpic in my preview for my new skin, ive deleted any file that has the tildakey (~) and ive saved the tga windowsframetop2uis as bitmap, but to no avail, I know that down the bottom in sk, you can check 2 boxes, 1 to make the magic pink go away and the other for transparency... and i normally do that....but this 'no show' thumb pic has me stumped, ill play around again today with what information ive been given and see how

bitmap file is = BMP.file, maybe you have to save your images as bmp file, but i thought wallpaper was jpeg file....
