It appears that sectors in reference to range are measured by the diagonal across the sector, not the side as you would think. It also appears there is a base minimum given to all ships of 0.5 As the default flagship you get on a sandbox game has a range of 1.5 can cross 1.5 squares diagonally (corner to corner), though around 3.5 following the lines

v1.11 After playing through the campaign I have a load of saved ships. I name them including my current miniaturization level for my own ease of use. eg "10 blah blah", "70 blah blah" In my current game I have a miniaturization level of +10% and I have a saved ship from previously that is available to be built that has 4x laser mk5 and 2x impulse drives Mk1. Now I thought my naming convention had gone wrong as it was call "25 blah blah blah", so I tried to recreate it but I could not, ther

My 3.2 Gig Pentium, 1 gig ram is at 100% when Gal Civ is running. When nothing is happening. The game itself runs silky smooth and fast btw... I have programmed my fair share of stuff and when it is within my control I put in sleeps (NOOPs) into the code that cycles and hey presto no 100% CPU. On the other hand when I mini it it stops using anything so maybe it is a Direct X thing with my gfx card dunno... I am on the lastest drivers and versions; any dev out there who can

Gal Civ 1.11 runs the processor at 100% while doing nothing at all, like sitting on the galactic map. Which not only uses more power which I have to pay for but also means they have to burn more oil (in the UK anyway) to create that electricity. The heat makes my bedroom hot and my girlfriend opens the window at 3am and then I freeze and she returns under the duvet. My processor fan runs at max, sucking in more dust meaning I have to clean it out more often else the unit will go Cher
