StarAdder, why did you give up on Stargate? I've heard it is a good show, but I havent seen it yet.
It's absolutely lame. I know it's supposed to be more drama than action series. But in drama shows you need to have a person you can relate to. There is noone there in SG:U. They're all asswipes. And there are some storywise gripes too...
look at me im doing something totally inexplicable and unexpected for no adequate reason
Honestly, I've not read all of what's been posted here, so forgive me if something similar was already suggested. Marksman: You take it as an imperative to pass on your exceptional skills as a Marksman to the chosen leader of your ranged attack troups (bolt- and/or arrow slingers) who in return teaches the troops. This provides those troops with a remarkable to-hit bonus and additional damage done. Even raised critical or crippling hit probability. Those bonus
NamaWHAT?! Sorry, couldn't resist. People watching LOST will know where this comes from. [e digicons][/e] But on-topic: As much as I can't wait for the official release, I would never download pre-release Versions and beta-test them. First-off I don't have the time and secondly I did that with another game, and it pretty much ruined the overall experience of the game when it was finally released. But that's just me. So don't
Glenn Beck
Well, usually I'd say: "Whatever floats your boat." But in this case: "Seriously Dean? I mean: SERIOUSLY DEAN?!" [e digicons]8C[/e] At present I watch Supernatural (obviously ;) ), LOST, Chuck, Smallville, Legend of the Seeker, nip/tuck, Flashforward. When they continue: Californication, Heroes, Doctor Who, Torchwood Gave up on Stargate: Universe.
Instead of a 7 paragraph summary from a known biased newspaper why don't you view the actual testimony.
Lemme guess. They've close relations to the oil industry? [e digicons]:|[/e]
Well, in this case I, as one of the people who honestly thought having read Brad state such a thing, apologize for the confusion I might have caused. I'm glad to read this. I actually also thought about what extra space and cost that would cause, which made me doubt the whole thing, Istar. I was going to buy the game anyway, though. [e digicons][/e]
*ROFL* Priceless! [e digicons][/e]
Okay, first of all something that noone has mentioned so far (unless I overread it): IT really mattered WHERE you decided to put a new settlement. Why? Making use of ressources around it. The Surveyor was your friend in the process of deciding as well through telling you about available food, max. pop, prod bonus and gold bonus. Not only the sheer variety of units but also their special abilities. Try hitting a Drake with magicians, priests or such and you'll fa
It's in here somewhere. IIRC it was Brad who stated that savegames will reside exclusively on SD's server(s).
Stardock, plans to force all players, even those on dedicated servers, to have to save Elemental games on their servers, their proprietary servers which means, like all the other propreitary servers, Stardock can choose to not support them anymore and ruin that part of the game, or in the case that they no longer exist, not be there to support it.
I'm not very happy about that part either. But as far as I know SD I'd bet they will see to it that we don't suffer too much
its still access control and therefore a form of DRM.
Which is something even Brad never really denied. Don't have the time to find the thread, but actually he explicitely stated that it IS a form of DRM. In the smallest. least intrusive and most convenient form possible though, which I tend to agree to. I can perfectly relate to people who object to forms of DRM which force you to be constantly online to be able to play because I feel the same wa
Like stopping to cut down our air supply units in brasil for instance. Such highly schizophrenic acts among others have to end
Oh yeah! Especially when the reason for chopping them down is to gain more ground for growing plants which produce the basic ingredient for so called "bio diesel"! [e digicons]>:([/e]
It's Vista! [e digicons];P[/e] Seriously though. Other than that the CD version had a StarForce Disk in Drive check I don't know why it shouldn't work after the first start.
Well, first off: Everyone is entitled to hisser own opinion. And secondly I bet Brad didn't publish it to get only replies stating how absolutely beautiful and epic it is, but maybe also to harvest constructive criticism. On the other hand he didn't ask for opinions explicitely. So maybe he simply wanted to give us a glimpse at what it will look likw, no matter WHAT we think about it... [e digicons]:P[/e]

Just as creationalists have to do more than say "God" made everything because I believe it is so, to convince someone who has common sense.
Yeah, Palis were the only units I managed to kill Great Wyrms and Drakes with. So they're very useful. Not even Elven Lords could match them. Also very helpful against Death Knights if you don't have the Holy Word and/or Dispel Evil spell handy. :D
Aaaww, that's sooo cute... Daaaa Bears! [e digicons];P[/e]
Atm. my army of Dragon Turtles is stomping over everything in their way on the regular plane. :D
Hehehe, Pachauri seems to become a real burden for the IPCC, so he is gonna be expelled. Furthermore the IPCC will probably undergo a major restructuring, as I've just read on the website ob the german CNN subsidiary. Especially to keep scientists as authors and industrial interests apart. Don't have the time to find a corresponding link to an english version atm., though. Figures, doesn't it?
if you want a sure way to win, start on myrran
I did that in my current game. With a custom Wiz though. An absolute great combo for a custom Wiz is chosing the "Artificer", "Famous" AND "Charismatic" ability. You pay half for all self created and purchased artifacts, have a higher probability for heroes and mercs to offer to join your cause AND they do so for half the cost as well. Don't care for the fewer books as you find spells and even books later on.
