Non-beleives need not post. First, I want to let everyone know that this is not a debate . Anyone who argues with another poster will find their post deleted. What do you believe about creation? Is a day literally 24 hours? I'm posting this question in an effort to learn. As such, your answer with supporting explanation/evide
And a guy I used to work with used to invite them in for coffee. He was quite a talker - debater really. He would give them something to drink and keep them for hours. His theory was that the longer he kept them at his house, the less they'd be able to talk to others.
Sure, just let me know when there going to be here and I'll put on my witches costume and decorate the house. Then I can invite them in to worship. Of course, if my husband's here he might just tell them to go to h&^^ and slam the door in thier faces.
Here are my results, though I don't take much stock in it. A lot of the options didn't really fit with my beliefs so I picked the 'best' ones. 1. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (100%) 2. Jehovah's Witness (90%) 3. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (85%) this is where I fit I think 4. Bahá'í Faith (76%) 5. Sikhism (73%) 6. Orthodox Judaism (71%) 7. Liberal Quakers (70%) 8. Mainline to Conservative Chr
Thanks for the replies. Your reassurance was very comforting to me. I appreciate the advice...and I'll keep looking. I have, which I bought over a year ago and just recently opened, an NIV translation titled "The Journey:A Bible for the Spiritually Curious." Not to worry, not cult involved. It reads: "As a seeker, you're open to the possibility that God might be real and able to make a definite difference...Several features make this book 'user-friendly' for those trying to compreh
Oh, this wasn't for GT. I wrote it for myself. I was supposed to be writing a paper on Shapespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" but was stuck in writer's block. So I turned to Joeuser and figured maybe a little fun writing would get me inspired (or at least distract me from the looming deadline). The benefit was all mine. Really. How often do I read lots of trash on the internet? Lots. How often do I write about trash that

I'm looking into churches in my area and I can't decide what to do. I don't know what denomination is the right one for me. Today I went to a Baptist church where a friend attends, but it just doesn't seem to fit me. I'd never been to a baptist service before. It was very different from any church I've been to - not that I've been to very many. I've bee
(funny post, QoD. Hope you don't get in trouble for using his name in the title.) Not to worry. Whatever happens it's worth it. Hey, I haven't been posting much anyway.

Dear Mr. Tuttle, In an effort to help you, as a participant at Joeuser.com, I’d like to suggest the following modification to your post to help you, “Smart up” as you say. I am currently taking classes at a Michigan University to teach English at two-year colleges and hope to take this opportunity to invite you into the educational community. Based on my as
I had two very terrible nightmares last night and I just can't forget about them. I've cried and slept on and off all day today and I just can't get over them. Now I don't even want to sleep tonight. Has this ever happened to you? The first one I had was that I committed suicide. Pretty bad stuff. I'm not even suicidal or anything. The secon
Well, the first thing I would have done was SLAP the associate pastor for being less than empatheticl... Then, being the animal lover I am, regardless of how close or distant the relationship was, I'd pay to replace the hutch and rabbit. That's what I would have wanted done were it my animal and cage. Do unto others as you would have do unto yourself. My heart sank when I started reading. I knew exactly where your story was going and here I
I initially met my son's mother on the phone then met her in person today sooo dare I ask - do you have multiple personalities??? Which son's mother? I mean, it only took you 9 or 5 years? Gosh
Does anyone believe they mean anything? Any dream interpretors out there? 1. Babies anyone? I dreamed that babies were being born out a big belly, but it wasn't attached to a person. No legs in the way. I had a list that told me what gender each one was. I checked the list as every one came out. They came out feet first and if
I haven't been around for a while - again! Life gets busy I guess then slows down and here I am again. Thanksgiving was good. I have lots to be thankful for. Christmas was good. I got exactly what I wanted. :D New Year's Eve was fun, or funny, or pathetic. I'm not sure which. While my husband slept through the ball drop I was partying i
Ohhh, Simon can commiserate with Socrates. He had his nads removed last Thursday. Everything went well and he's back to his normal hippity-hoppity ways. But boy is it hard to give a rabbit oral medication. I have scratches on my arms, stomach and even boobs to prove it - and no I wasn't trying to medicate him in my birthday suit! Anway, we'll be thinking of the little guy and wishing him well.
Wow, all of you sure have expanded my vocabulary! And I forgot I like ubiquitous and the ubiquitous use of ubiquitous
Warning: This is a rant. Sugar beets are being harvested here in mid-Michigan and it stinks. No, not the actual pulling out of the ground part. It's the processing part that stinks. It smells like burning beets. Try it - put some beets on the stove and keep cooking them until they're black. That's the smell. It's very foul. But the smell doesn't reall
Your neighbor was scared. I would be as well to have a dog follow me home. Nope, she wasn't scared. When she was talking to me out the window she said, "he's such a sweet and friendly dog." She knew. She just didn't care enough to do anything about it.
You know - the kind of word that sticks in your head. But ones that aren't usually used in everyday conversation? I heard my husband's favorite word on the news last night. It's not very common so It really stuck out. Malfeasance . He loves malfeasance, nonfeasance , and misfeasance . I like nonfeasance best myself. My favorites
A big black lab followed my neighbor home. She went in her house and shut the door. I was letting my dog out and found him. It was very clear that he had several tags on his collar. I brought him inside to check him out and see if there was a number on one of the tags. He ran through the house and found the toilet. Why do big dogs like to drink out of the toilet
ohhh, me me me. I want to write too. It sounds like such fun.
