I'm having a discussion with someone about disk space use and software, so I grab SpaceMonger and suddenly it's unregistered in the middle of scanning. I try to log in to my EdgeRunner account as that's where I bought it, but it says that the password is wrong. Fine.. I know Stardock and Edgerunner are almost identical, so I try my Stardock account. It said it was successful in logging in, but that I didn't have a key associated to my account. So.. I reg

Thanks, that worked it out. Mildly curious as to why it allowed e-mail addresses to be displayed in the first place, but eh.

[quote who="TheBigOne" reply="2" id="2055638"]Just take a look at the most successful RTS which has Heroes and spells in it : Warcraft III. In Warcraft III you do see the mana of the enemies. You even see the items of the enemy - which is something I don't like too much but I have to give Blizzard credit that they originally didn't show the items of the enemy (as it should be done in Demigod). They changed it - I think with the release of TFT - as the overwhelming majority of players includin

The only thing you need to worry about are things like digital cameras and the like, if I remember correctly. Most laptops are built to withstand that kind of thing, and shouldn't have a single problem. I took mine on a trip last year.

While playing as Sedna, minions (such as the Yeti) seem to have major trouble with AI pathing around corners and getting to targets on the otherside, especially in more crowded fights. This results in the Yetis at times "pressing" against the map edge in "confusion". (Found Duplicate. Wording was not quite what I expected in the "roundup".)

Why is this a debate about whether or not you should see an enemy's mana pool? (or am I mistaken?) No, you shouldn't see your enemy's mana pool, seeing as how that's a team resource, much like gold. However, friendly mana pools ought to be shared between players of the same team so that they can more easily co-ordinate things rather than having to rely on either third party VOIP, or otherwise. Information on your enemy should never be completely a

I understand that. My profile here is "Freyar" (As you can see by my post here), but in-game it still shows my e-mail.

Started the beta today, but every time I go in, my username is displaying my e-mail address instead of my alias. I've tried using a new profile, alternate profile, deleting and remaking a profile with no luck. Any ideas? Not sure if this is a Demigod specific problem, or Stardock in general, but publishing my address is not something I want to do.

The annoyance of having to contact Direct2Drive for activation limitations is enough to push me away permanantly. Steam (on non-limited games) and Impulse are of the higher priority for the position. If you can manage, stay away from them.

I read all these calls to nerf things. Eh, why don't we just nerf everything so a frigate does 1 point per second, cruiser 2 points per second, and capital ships at 3 points per second. The use of the "Super Weapons" is an interesting part of the game, and certainly (like said before) puts a sense of urgency. There ought to be a counter to it, I do agree, but nerfing the weapon itself without actually suggesting what to nerf about 'em is just as annoying here as it is to see everyone **

Crysis is great provided you've got the bells and whistles on, especially with multiplayer. Fun-fun-fun, however it doesn't have the same longevity. However, SoaSe does very well on it's own, let's just be happy about that. Crysis and SoaSe are different genres and in reality, games in their own genres are what should be compared.

So, lemme see if I understand this right. Shield mitigation goes up as the ship recieves more fire per second, or just more damage to the shields? Second, the shield mitigation reduces penetration to the hull always, or just when there's a "few points" left as it tries to regenerate?

I don't know. Pirates seem ridiculously easy to manipulate, and against the AI (so far) it seems like there isn't much to worry about. Tweaks, yeah I think those should be in order. Better AI regarding when to stay and when to run, but then you end up with a stockpile. Maybe end up with the ships scuttled at the pirate base after the raid is over.. who knows. A more varied fleet would be nice. How the hell do they manage to get all that firepower for themselves when as far as m
