thanks for the links. but I would like to know, if the state of translation is somewhat better than it was, when the game came out!? If there are still problems in the german version, I`d rather stay with the english...

Hi after the disaster with the german version of GC2, i immediately installed the english version of the game, because no (working) patch where available for my version. My question is: are these problems solved? does this patch also fix the german version (and translation), so I can play german GC2 on the same qualitiy level as the english version or should I stay with the english version??? anyone having experience with this? thank you <img src="smiles/BigSmile.gif" bo

What was so great on MOM is the fact, that you where able to influence every single bit in the game! that means every square and every unit, no matter if friend or foe. I have never seen a strategy game, before and after, where the player had this huge amount of abilities and tactics available! found a strange solution: reinstalled the theme in another directory then the default, then uninstalled it. that worked! the old (default) directory was still present, and I finaly managed to remove it, except ONE file: fastload.dll I can move that file on my harddisk, I even can rename it (actual name:fast.txt), but I CANNOT delete it! strange thing... , anyway, I can live with that death file... <img src="http://images.stardock.

GalCiv 2 Desktop uninstall? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I cant get rid of the Galactic Civilization 2 Desktop Theme! (Theme Manager) No matter how I try to uninstall it, I always get the "....ini file not found" message! I cant even delete the directory, cause some files are in use... just want to clean up my system a little bit. can someone please help me with this?

sry to correct you, but the German Version is 1.0! the "no sound in the intro" problem and a lot of other issues, including translation are immanent. I think, you should have a serious talk with the guys from paradox, cause they really messed it up! is there a chance for the buyers of the german version to download the english version, including updates? would solve all problems for a lot of people here! thank

German Version Confussion in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

when you go to the Download Section, under Retail Update you can read, that the German Version already is 1.0x. That isnot true! The german version is 1.0, the intro isnt working (no sound) and there are a lot of other issues! the english patch want work and paradox will not develop a german one. and on the top of it all, my manual came without serials for registration and special edition.... but at least, I DO have a nice box...

du glücklicher! gib doch einfach mal in der suche "german" ein und geniese! Ich wäre froh, wenn ich die englische Version hätte, die deutsche ist zur Zeit eine Katastrophe! Finger weg davon!

Leute, das ist noch gar nichts! Bei meinem Handbuch fehlen die Serials für Registrierung und Special Edition!!! kann also gar nix machen! Hat jemand das selbe Problem, gibts da ne Lösung?
